Visited Berlin for the Christmas markets on this is a great location. First, the room was spacious and the staff was friendly. There was a wait for the hotel dinning/bar area so be patient or eat/drink elsewhere. There were 4 visible markets in walking distance, making out market journey easy to navigate. Would definitely stay here again.
I had to stay 4 nights there for an executive training at a close by management school. After 3 day, I realized having bites/stitches. On my check out morning, I was very sure that it was bed bugs, so I spoke to the person at the reception and mentioned it to her, so that someone would check the room. Unfortunately, she reacted very unprofessionally and claimed that they would not have bed bugs and these were not bed bug bites. I saw the doctor the very next day because it was incredibly itchy and the bed bug diagnosis was confirmed. Two days later, I went to the doctor again for being in such high pain, and we counted more than 90 bites. I had to take cortisone pills to get some relief.
I got in touch with the hotel again to make sure they would clean the room and to avoid getting anyone else in this uncomfortable situation. They confirmed 2 days later that the room was now being cleaned and that it would not be an hygiene issue. First, they said they would pay for dry cleaner and my expenses, but once I handed the list in, their insurance declined saying “You cannot prove that it was us having bed bugs”, even though I had a mail from the manager as well as a document from my doctor stating exactly this. Well, now we are preparing the lawsuit against this hotel, as I can prove that it happened exactly there. Please stay somewhere else if you want to have a clean and safe place — this place would be definitely rated 0 if I could chose that.

Came to town to visit some Christmas markets and stayed here for 4 nights.
The location is PERFECT if you're in town with the same agenda. Visited 3 markets within 10 minutes walking distance, another one was about 5 minutes further. It was likely more of them because there are 100 markets in the city to choose from.
There was no refrigerator in the room, only a coffee pot.
The room was spacious and the area seemed pretty secure. Not sure what the building next to it is but there were police stationed outside all day/night.
If dining at the bar, be patient or eat elsewhere.
