Perfect hotel if you are lucky enough to have tickets for the annual Wagner Festival. There is a shuttle bus to the venue which is great. The hotel facilities and staff are excellent. We will be coming back!

Nice staff and good service. The hotel offers a very rich buffet for breakfast and lunch (in the evening I can not judge) with very good quality. The rooms are clean, equipped with everything you need. Point deduction is here as it was very warm and you couldn't turn on the air conditioning.
The hotel is also suitable for meetings.

Good price, clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff and good breakfast. They are pet friendly as well and the location is great.

We were very happy with the stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but cosy. It was all clean. For breakfast there was a large buffet, which left nothing to be desired.

Visiting from America and this is a nice hotel. It is much better than the other one I was at before I came to Hotel Rheingold. They also have good Wi-Fi and the Richard’s Restaurant is nice for dinner. The parking garage is also great and inexpensive. Breakfast buffet is OK. This will not be a hotel of choice for lodging during vacations, my job recommended it for work. The TV is very small. Has a remote with 11 buttons on it but when the menu instructs me (even after putting it in English), they point out buttons that are not on the remote. So if you have an Amazon Firestick or any other type of TV box, I recommend you bring that with you. The housekeeping also does a half-ass job. My first night here, my bathroom smelled like urine and did my entire stay. I took baths everyday and the tub was not cleaned once, my glass tumblers were never replaced, only poorly wiped and placed back. Me being a persnickety person, I found this a problem. I complained but no one did anything, I even put the “tidy up” sign on the bathroom door. But that didn’t help. I also paid $40 for laundry and it took two days to get back to me. But Rheingold is one of the cheaper better hotels in Bayreuth. So I recommend it for short stays. Take showers because they won’t actually clean your bathroom.

Clean hotel with lots of space, good parking facilities, friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet. Gladly again.

It seems to be official 4* hotel, unless I'm totally mistaken? Weak points : Luck of bathrobe & sleepers in the room as well as no minibar and safe box, pure amenities at bathroom … Room does not meet expectation of 4*comfort at all. I'm not spoiled at all. Strong points : staff is very nice and professional, breakfast is good, location is very good. I would recommend this place to friends, but do not expect much.

In September 2016, I celebrated my wedding with Approximately 140 guests in the Hotel. Organisation, food, staff, Accommodation and everything else that has heard this has been implemented to my satisfaction. I can tell you this is a true insider's tip for your wedding right in the heart of Bayreuth. Once again, thank you for the class implementation of our Celebration and a huge praise to Ms. Customs, Frank and the entire Team at the Hotel Rheingold.

Male reception attendant was unpleasant but the woman was great. Room was clean and spacious (for your Europe). Breakfast assortment was good. Only 3 stars from bad service on check in.

The Service is good and the performance is excellent! The rooms have an acceptable size. The bathroom is really nice and neat! The Breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired, and otherwise it is done! Thanks for the short but beautiful stay.

Polite and courteous staff, very very clean, centrally located, good Matzratze, large bathroom. Price performance is absolutely ok, highly recommended.

A great modern hotel, completely renovated in 2013 and again opened. The super friendly staff is very attentive and helpful. You feel comfortable there. You can park in the hotel garage and is then also super Central and right in the city centre. It has also a beautiful and delicious restaurant "Richards" with German cuisine and a bar.
