We loved at our time here — the only bad things — the bed was uncomfortable. Close to City Center and the food was excellent — their breakfast buffet was wonderful
Our room was on the 5th floor and we had a beautiful view.

Literally 5 minutes from train station and right across from part of the old wall/town. Rooms comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful!

The continental breakfast is outstanding! Love the outdoor terrace for smoking, the hotel bar is super! Only downer is the poor operation of the AC in the room. Temperatures was in the 80's in the room. Made the issue known to the front desk twice and can't seem to rectify the problem. I really liked how there was fruit available in the lobby. … Other than that, great location close to restaurants and historical sites walking distance.

Very dated furniture. Bed is at knee height at the top of the mattress. Aircon isn’t working. But the staff are super nice. Lobby is very nice. No iron in room either and no tea or coffee facilities and I am hanging out for a cuppa!

The ground floor public rooms are exceptional, the staff smart, attentive, friendly and efficient. However the room let the hotel down. The bed was soft and sagged in the middle (so we both rolled into the centre of the bed). The carpet was worn and badly stained and the bathroom, with its chipped enamel bath, needed refurbishing. Disappointing.

A very good stay. Rooms are clean and tidy and in a good location to the town. Good breakfast available with a big selection.

The hotel is situated immediately opposite the old town walls and is therefore within easy walking distance of the main tourist sites, bars, restaurants etc. The main railway station is just a couple of minutes walk away. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room and en suite were a good size and were spotlessly clean. The choice of food at the buffet breakfast was excellent (although the "soft boiled" eggs were hard each morning). Just one criticism — there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Apart from that the stay was most enjoyable.

Not a bad hotel. The number is so ordinary. It's convenient that the center. The staff are polite, especially the reception.

Ease of access for parking and entrance to the hotel. Bathrooms weren't far for quick use. Front desk staff was very helpful with any questions or assistance. The Ball room was perfectly sussed for multiple entrances.

Visited for an event. Did not stay this time but have stayed overnight in the past. Very nice hall for the event. Staff was great. Food was great. The room was hot. Went out side for fresh air a few times. But overall love this hotel.

Very clean inside and out. The staff was very friendly and the food for the event was delicious. Parking garage under the hotel is a tight squeeze for my midsized American SUV, but I managed. They even had employees walking around to ensure everyone got a spot.

Great support to a large organizational function. Rooms were extremely clean. Service at the counter and breakfast buffet were top notch for such a reasonable price. Great location next to the bahnhof and across from the walled portion of Nuremberg. Would return whenever I needed a hotel in the city.

Nice cute hotel. A little aged and old fashion in the lobby area but quite cozy in the rooms. The service is exceptionally good and the breakfast is magnificent!

The hotel is fine, but for today's time something too old-fashioned. What also disturbs is just for business people that there is only from 06:30 breakfast. The location is top for Nuremberg.

I don't understand the bad reviews. We booked a Classic room and were satisfied, everything clean. The staff are always friendly and competent. Good breakfast and super central location. Price/performance ratio is completely i. E. For the house.

Not even spent a night here and already painted the nose full. Interior is absolutely horrible and the entrance of the hotel does not suggest such scheusslige rooms. With my luck of course get room to the main street and how should it be otherwise the air conditioning is defective and makes the room much too warm. Window is open that I do not suffocate but I have the noise from outside with it.
In general, the maintenance, care and cleanliness of the rooms does not seem to interest anyone at all. The best thing though is the bed, wherein I have to say here that there is definitely no bed is simply a bottombox with mattress on it. Why is there 4 stars for a camping room?

Nice hotel, nice staff. But I was disappointed to find some tiny flies flying around some of the food provided on the breakfast buffet for self service. Hence the reduction of a star. The staff were courteous and the hotel was close to train station which makes it really convenient.

Exceptional service from all staff members we encountered (front desk, breakfast, bartenders, waitstaff, and bellhop). They were refreshingly chatty and friendly as staff you'd encounter in the U. S. Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable at all (too hard) and the cooling fan (AC? ) for the room was lacking.

Great central location. Hotel in the 70s style. Food and breakfast good. Fitness room without dumbbells. Employees very friendly.

Great location close to train station. Hotel is good, lobby is a bit dated but room comfortable and good breakfast.

Pretty old interior. Room had a weird smell. The fitness centre is tiny. And lastly, I ordered a pizza for 11 Euros — it looked like a frozen Pizza from Dr. Oetker. Only positive note is that staff is very friendly and breakfast is good.

Stuck in a 1980s time warp — dingy, dated decor. They even still have smoking rooms (I was assigned to one). Wi-Fi is so slow that it is useless. Breakfast buffet was nice and some nice staff. No hot drinks facilities in the rooms.

My room was very run down and unkempt. Some of the adjacent rooms are currently being renovated, perhaps this one too. I still find it outrageous to position one in the middle of this construction site. The room I had booked months ago. For the price absolutely not okay.

The room was very large and the bathroom was very comfortable. It was a little dusty. Although a double room was booked for two people, only one bathrobe was available. The bed was extremely hard. The hotel makes the impression that it has already had its best days behind it. Via note, housekeeping was asked for additional pillows and a second bathrobe, which was done without any problems. The pool has a pleasant size and temperature. There are towels that you can use and there are some couches. There are only a few spiders. The elevator is the same as the lobby, so you can't go directly to the pool in Schwimmtkleidung.

Dingy and overpriced… the quality of the hotel room has a 70's/80's era furniture and decor, as well as electricity outlets that are from the same time and don't work… bathroom was a bit dirty and lights in the bathroom didn't want to work. All in all, for the price it's not the best stay. Not the worst, far from the best though.

We wanted to finish our evening with a neat glass of red wine in a dignified atmosphere. Now my mistake was to equate the hotel and its upscale reputation with the bar. The staff is nice, but the friendliness and competence is surprisingly different from a "normal" bar. For example, the greeting was accompanied by a reference to the closing times (we arrived 45 minutes before). When I asked what red wine they had, the answer was "Merlot! ". Anyone who loses a word about their country of origin, region, vintage already makes a big difference and leaves a positive impression. Or just another.

Very nice hotel in a great location with parking garage. A bit old-fashioned, rooms partly with little daylight. Bathrooms are also a bit older. Otherwise in the rooms, however, really flawless. Very good beds, very quiet, very clean. Nice service.

Comfortable rooms, nice service, food was good too.

Room was pretty standard. Beds were on the small side and could do with one more pillow. The major problem is that the free Wi-Fi is throttled to 512kb/s to force guests to pay for useable speeds. This is simply unacceptable for any serious hotel in 2017. When a Days Inn and/or Starbucks have better internet than the Maritim Hotel, you have a problem.

Great hotel close to the station and a few steps away from the city wall. The centre can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Great breakfast as choice and quality. I would have preferred the shower instead of the tub with curtain. The staff are friendly and helpful. If I go back to Nuremberg, this hotel will certainly be a secure landmark.

Very nice hotel, The buffet breakfast was good and the staff friendly. The pool was a good draw and there is also a gym (not visited). Wifi was patchy in my room however even with the upgraded Telekom Hotspot.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is quite expensive but worth it. The pool is nice to hang out but very small for swimming, the sauna and the gym is paid for (5 euros each time) and the rooms are spacious but could be more cared for. Not worth it for the price they usually charge, there are better places in Nurnberg for that price.

Good location, but I was put in a room which smells smoking! After a complaint, I was offered another two rooms also smelling. Had to stay in it and got sick. Couldn’t imagine that it exists in 2017! And no other options. Also no other available hotels around due to an expo. The worst hotel experience ever!

Great location! Staff is nice. A few amenities, like tea/coffee and kettles not in all rooms. Beds are moderate for European rooms.

The location is very near the old town. Rooms that have come into the years. The room was clean. Showering in bathtub with curtain is not the hit. Great food and excellent breakfast. Catering leaves nothing to be desired. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Very good hotel, perfect breakfast for a vegan, with lots of fresh fruit, a very good coffee and vegan Becell margarine. Nice and varied breads. Very decent Service.

Old, severely run down hotel. Uncomfortable bed, stains on the walls, carpet, and furniture. Breakfast was ample but not the best tasting. Room could not get cold. Would not stay here again.

Except for the lack of parking, this is a rather good hotel inside. The beds were soft but unfortunately it is time the hotel put in better pillows. Although our room faced the road, there was hardly any road noise once the windows were closed. Good food in the buffet. What I personally like the butter dispensing machine! Go for it.

Clean large room with minibar extra pillows and an iron press for clothes in the room… something I've not seen in any other hotel. Its a little retro with a CRT TV taking up too much space on the bench. Perfect location near bus terminal and ald stat (old town) Overall good vale for money.

Nice old hotel, not as nice as some other but the event space is perfect. The location and service are both great.

The hotel makes a very good first impression, expensive very friendly and obliging.
But the rooms are just to old, especially for the price.
Carpet veraltetstes Interior, old TV with moderate image that occasionally falters, no socket next to the bed of what is actually required in the mobile age, Baldwin, at the an and switch off the lights a loud click from the electrical box and the bath no proper shower just a bathtub with a shower curtain.
The room what clean up 2-3 small blemish but nothing wild.
Location of the hotel is super.
Hotel with charm, but unfortunately too old and too expensive.

The only reason we booked here was because an event was taking place at the this hotel. We very specifically requested a room with two beds and were assured that was what we were reserved for. When we got to the room it had one full sized bed. The room itself was very small, dated, no view, and was not clean. Everything was very cramped and uncomfortable. The room was very stuffy and hot even though we tried using the thermostat. We had to open the window even though a sign told us not to, it was just so uncomfortable. The bathroom was very cramped, and the shower was filthy. With the "Discount" We paid 120 Euro. I will never book here again nor will I recommend. The breakfast was pretty good though.

Comfortable and adequate. Wi-Fi is free, thankfully, because it's non existent on the back blocks of Floor 2. The signal from the competition next door is stronger.

Unfortunately, the Maritim in the Eighties stopped… Money was not invested more… unfortunate!

Nothing out of the ordinary. No major complaints, but it didn't impress me either. Wifi is free, which is good, because the signal is so spotty on 3rd floor as to be virtually unusable.
