I was often a guest there, once with a camera team to record a contribution with Mr. Winkler. Venison saddle in bacon coat and bread dough. A pleasure. The wonderful ambience and cuisine of Winkler and his brigade is simply an "extraterrestrial pleasure".

These are no longer 2 Michelin stars. After 9 years we wanted to refresh our old experience. Back then we had one of the best service forces from the ⭐️⭐️ kitchen. The food was simply great, from the freshness to the presentation. What we have experienced this time has nothing to do with star cuisine. Three courses were almost cold. The presentation was rather bad inn. Not for all courses but for some of the eight courses. The order of wine, cutlery and plates was always different. Although we pointed out at the beginning that a particular food is not desired, it was nevertheless processed in another course. Fine parsley was used on four plates to decorate. In 2020 you should find something else in the star cuisine. Our complaint was apologized with a multiple sorry. It's a pity that I destroyed my good memory 9 years ago. I'm curious when Michelin reacts to the poor quality.

Funny place. Beautiful setting, building and rooms. But dinner was not Michelin 2 Star — — service, food, wine list were maybe 2 forks. No Sommelier, one waitress for our table of 11 people. Rooms had odd electrical wiring. Did not live up to its billing.

One of the few restaurants that have my 5 stars. Exceptional food and an extensive wine list. Very highly recommended. The décor is curious but nice very good service.

Do you know another gourmet restaurant that is open seven days for lunch and dinner, offering top performance? The Residence Heinz Winkler in Aschau is unique. The fresh products prepared with love are worth their price. The monkfish with young garlic and the veal biscuits in Burgundy sauce were culinary delicacies. After the meal, it is best to stay in the magnificent residence on the church square. In this place, cooking becomes art. No wonder Heinz Winkler was the first chef to receive the Federal Cross of Merit. He has worked this out really hard.

Top Restaurants, top service. Very nice, attentive care, helpful and active.
Facilities of rooms at a selected high level. Maybe something out of the years.

Perfect hotel, but the most remarkable is the meal: breathtaking.

We felt very comfortable for the second time in the Heinz Winkler residence: Rooms, the small spa, service and kitchen are absolutely recommended! The rating 5 — star hotel and 2 star restaurant is 100% coherent.
The surrounding area offers many leisure opportunities.
We are looking forward to the next time and thank you for the wonderful time in Aschau in Chiemgau.

Taste fireworks with feel-good factor we were there for the third time and again extremely satisfied. Great food, fine wines and very attentive service staff who had everything perfectly under control. We felt completely at ease, also in the hotel. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed to feel good and not "aloof" as in some other star restaurant… Happy to return:)

Hotel Restaurant corresponds to the standing that can be expected from the views of the different comments.
The service is excellent whether at the reception as in the restaurant.
The meal was perfect.
The wine list is heavier than a ☺ directory.

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday. I had a coffee and enjoyed the view. The rocky top of the Kampenwand invites you to get out walking. Didn't manage an overnight this time. But soon! The owner gave us a fine historical overview of his hotel and a glass of Cremant. We sang a few songs in the end and all was well.

The menu was excellent, but in our view, overpriced.
Service staff and cleanliness were wonderful. Furniture is sometimes antique but not modern. You can combine ancient and modern. For this ambiance we felt (54 and 44) too young and modern.

You have to go there!
Great ambience; excellent service, especially at reception.
Amiable "boss".
Eat "extraterrestrial" well.

Since the departure of the Alsatian Kieffer brothers Fabrice and Renaud, the restaurant has clearly lost class and Nonchalance. The otherwise extraordinary service is now normal standard. Those who do not know the residence from these times will not miss anything. Everyone else is going to leave something.

I left a new bought watch in room! But hotel still can't give any response or apologize for this after 4 days later! Hi, I am Charles, left a new bought. Pocket watch in your room 304! in the bed! We are from Taiwan Mokoto group check in Oct. 2 & check out Oct. 3, Packed in a white anti-dust bag, without a metal bracelet! I felt so sad because this is a gifts my wife given for our wedding 27th year! Hopping you can help to find out this gifts! I am much apprecriated! Attached photo is left packing & metal bracelet. Highly recommend that you take the time in your busy life to enjoy excellence that can only found at a few places. Residenz Heinz Winkler is a rare combination of culinary and hospitality perfection.

Always worth a trip! Lovely hotel, food a poem and very friendly staff. Dogs do not pose any problem and with the best wishes they are handled perfectly!

This was my second time at the Residenz and at both times the service was very friendly and attentive! The dinner menus are a culinary delight and the wine selection impeccable. Breakfast, after experiencing Mr. Winkler's skill and passion for cooking, is an added treat. They truly deserve their awards both for the hotel and the restaurant! Amazing attention is paid to detail… surely a place we will always want to revisit and recommend. ❤️

The Residenz has very attentive & personal service. The staff took good care of our room while we were at dinner, turning down the bed covers, drawing the drapes, and replacing used towels and glasses. Our junior suite was very lovely. Our dinner was superb and memorable with a friendly & charming waiter. Highly recommended!

We have been fortunate to stay at several Relaix & Chateaux properties around the world and the Residenz Heinz Winkler ranks right up with the best of them. From the reception to the incredible dinner and the breakfast before departing everything was as advertised. My wife and I are already talking about a return visit. One of our all time favorite dining experiences.

A personalized welcome, a staff of extreme kindness, a restaurant worthy of the biggest and a very cosy atmosphere, everything was perfect. Only lacked an outdoor pool!

We were several times in succession at the residence because the menu card in the truest sense of the word "seduced us". Time and time again-excellent food that is second to none.
The concept of "vitality cuisine" is truly unique, it is well saturated, without having a feeling of fullness in any form; because the high-quality ingredients are simply can.
To the "Greetings from the kitchen" are a taste sensation on top of it and the home-made chocolates at the end every time a poem; I ate until now nowhere else such high quality chocolates.
Who would like to enjoy an exceptional experience of eaters, the walk to the residence remains essential.

The room service is perfect. Towels are changed also in the evening again. The menu was just awesome. Taste the best what we previously have eaten. Great breakfast buffet that really deserves its name gourmet breakfast.

Coated and overpriced Schnöselei. Arrogant staff. The food definitely not that absurd price. For this, the Abbrösler was all the more funnier… Conclusion: Outdated and too bad about the money — never again! We are a Rolls Royce Club and thought a good target for tours with the residence to have Winkler, far from it, once, and never again!

Simply just good! Excellent food, very friendly service. Real star kitchen. Something for a special evening. The atmosphere is certainly something "verrüscht", but that didn't bother us. It fits into the landscape, which is also gorgeous.

I know the place for many years, it has one or the other is changed one thing, however, is not the warmth of the Winklers and the quality of the residence is highly recommended.

The residence is something special — The Team Winkler strives to make his guests — the fine wine is top class — any re-visit is a Gaumengeschenk. Keep it up.
