You find a gorgeous gorge that's wimbachklamm on the way to wimbachklammshloss. You'll find spectacular view of nature. In the lap of Mighty alps. It's roughly 2hrs hiking. You need sturdy shoes as well as proper dresses. You may get wet near the klamm. You need to get a coin ticket for 2 euro to enter the klamm. It's perperson price. But can get discounts on guest cards. There is a good parking down in the village. And most importantly there is good WC near the parking. It's small and wonderful panorama. You are going to love it.

Great gorge.
You should be in the parking lot before 9 o'clock, otherwise it will be tight.
If you only want to look at the gorge, you don't have to park for more than 4 hours.
€2.00 or €2.50 should be suitable per person.
Otherwise, there is an ATM at the toilets in the car park.
Prefer to park longer than 4 hours and go the same way up to Wimbach Castle.
On nice days and on weekends there is a lot going on.

Beautiful, but very short.

The gorge is only about 200 meters long. But the water spectacle was great. And even if it has outside over 30 degrees, in the gorge it is super pleasantly cool. It is important to know that you can only go into the gorge at the bottom, because you have to pay for admission. If you come from the WimbachCastle you unfortunately come across a turnstile, which blocks the access to you at the top.

The Wimbachklamm costs 2.50 per nose. Discount is only available with guest cards from Berchtesgaden and the surrounding area. This also applies to the parking lot, for which a further 5 euros are due.
The gorge itself is spectacular but rather short, after which an almost motorway-wide walkway goes to the Wimbachschloss.
In general, there is a lot going on in the season, so these paths for quiet mountain hiking are not recommended.

Very nice area. Pity only that there is no information when the gorge opens and when the huts are open. Info from me, Gorge opens at the end of April. The huts only Pentecost. For hiking very nice!

Here the nature lover for a really fair price is offered a natural spectacle for which is definitely worth the arrival. Sturdy footwear should be better at the start. The parking space in the car park is a bit more expensive, but still fine for my feeling. The Wimbachklamm is worthwhile for the whole family, if all are still stable on the legs and a few meters of walk does not matter.

Easter Sunday: The cardboard sign says, unfortunately closed. Why are the opening hours shown on the internet?

A very beautiful gorge. It is not very long, but the many waterfalls are simply breathtaking.

A gorge worth looking at. Very short but after the exit you can still hike well further. Unfortunately the parking lot is expensive.

It's a great gorge. Not that long way to the entrance. The gorge is not so long, but very impressive with the waterfalls, cauldrons and bottlenecks. You can still go through the gorge even in the afternoon. If you want to go further through the Wimbachtal, you have to take more time. The Wimbachgrieshütte is the starting point for the ascent of the Watzmann.

For the steep ascent and payment of the entrance fee at the vending machine, you will be rewarded with a great sight in the gorge, which is unfortunately only 200 metres long and therefore far too quickly, wandered through. A narrow wooden walkway with railings also leads untrained hikers safely through the beautiful gorge with its rock slabs and watercourse.
This piece of nature is definitely worth a trip again and again.

Super! Very interesting place!

Only about 200 m long, but very impressive. Don't forget camera and small money for the checkout machine. In the evening, the gorge is no longer so crowded and you can take your photos in peace.

From the parking lot to the gorge, it is about 700 m, up the mountain. You walk this over a small tar road. On the way, you pass a farm where you get the entrance coin at the vending machine.
The climb through the Wimmbachklamm begins a little later at a turnstile.
The path through the gorge is truly breathtaking! Unfortunately, very short!
Warm clothes are recommended. It was very fresh there in the autumn, despite sunshine.
After that you can still do very nice hikes.
But we actually drove on to the Hintersee.

The path is (too) short but definitely worth a visit. Very refreshing when it's too hot in summer.
Make money because the entrance is paying: you have to buy a chip from a plc…

Wimbachklamm is a smaller version of Breitachklamm.

Small, but big. The most impressive gorge that I have ever seen. Water from just about anywhere. It's just a pity that you can only enter from below.
