I recently had a stay at the Hotel Dirsch, and while there were some positives, there were also some things that left me feeling disappointed. Overall, I am not sure why this hotel has a four-star rating. In this review, I will share my experiences with you, starting with the neutral aspects.
Neutral:
Let's start with the swimming pool. I found it to be quite tiny for a hotel that bills itself as a wellness hotel. While it was clean and well-maintained, I would have appreciated a larger pool area to unwind in.
The sauna area was adequate, but the fact that it was only open from 12-9 pm left me feeling a bit short-changed. If you're looking for a relaxing sauna session before bed, you won't be able to do so here.
The room itself was okay, but it was also very small. If you're expecting a spacious and luxurious room, this is not the place for you. However, it was clean and had everything that I needed for my stay.
Negative:
Now let's move on to the negatives. First of all, in my room, there were no slippers or bathrobe, which I found strange for a wellness hotel. These are basic amenities that should be provided to guests, especially if you're paying a premium price for your stay.
Similarly, I was surprised to find that there were no water bottles in the room. This is a standard item that is provided in every hotel, whether you're paying for the water or not. Instead, you have to go to a vending machine, which feels outdated and inconvenient.
