We were delighted to find Hotel-Restaurant Pfaffenkeller after a long day of cycling. We stopped in the town and were intrigued by the name of the establishment which means Priest's House. The owner/chef Georg was very gracious and welcoming. The room was spotless and charming with nice furnishings as was the dining room. We were particularly appreciative of Georg accommodating my husband's need for a special diet which he adapted from his delicious menu. The food was outstanding and Claude's (co-owner) service impeccable. Highly recommend!

We had an unforgettable stay. The location is beautiful, the rooms as well and exceptionally clean. The owners and staff were very kind and helpful and the service was amazing. We had dinner at the restaurant which deserves all the accolades it is getting. I look forward to another stay. Thank you! Luca.

A special place, a special team, a special eating — and drinking pleasure. Recommended for repetition.

The small hotel is tucked away in the middle of the village next to the church. You need a sat nav to find it, because there are almost none of the signs. Then you can expect a beautifully restored rectory. We ate here both in the evening and as guests of the restaurant in the morning and were very enthusiastic. The range and quality of food and drink were excellent.
The guest rooms are accessed via a very steep staircase. For old and frail people, this is quite a challenge. The rooms are decorated in the same style as the whole house and quite cosy. The mattresses in our suite were very firm and the allergy-friendly cushions with polyester filling like a balloon. We couldn't sleep on it and, for lack of an alternative, used the little ornamental cushions on the bed. The Wi-Fi was basically not needed because, if anything, it only worked just behind the room door.
Other than that, though, we felt very comfortable, and if you want to eat well, you can do absolutely nothing wrong here.

You don't know what to highlight: The fantastic food, the wonderful ambience or the incredibly sympathetic hosts. The Pfaffenkeller is a place where you can leave everyday life behind and enjoy life.

Very well eaten in a nostalgic ambience. Small, with the emphasis on fine — that's all true here. Very nice hospitality. We like to come back.

This small but fine restaurant is always worth a visit. Those who like to have a comfortable stay and value for a culinary experience are in good hands here.

Eat well but if you are Hungry, too little. For two People 160 Euros is already a Number. Very good Wines.
Bissle more on the Plate would already be good. Very friendly Service.

A cosy little hotel with original Rooms with nothing missing. You immediately feel comfortable in the family atmosphere that is thanks to the Hosts. The Food is very good, both dinner and wonderful Breakfast. All in all highly recommended!

Had an awesome experience here! The service was lovely, the food delicious. Relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful old house, the team really put in a lot of effort and I felt well looked the entire time. I'd also recommend their hotel rooms :)

Erst mal das Positive, schönes Ambiente, lokale hochqualitative Lebensmittel, freundlicher Service Das was weniger gefallen hat — einfache Küche für doch sehr hohen Preis, es fehlt die Raffinesse — ungehobelter Koch und Besitzer. NoGo — zum Teil amateurhaftes Verhalten des Service — Absprachen bei der Reservierung waren vergessen worden.

A great restaurant with innovative, creative and extremely tasty food. The service is also first class and the two hosts are there with their hearts and souls and also take their time for the guests. Not to forget: great products in our own farm.

Nice Restaurant, with attention to Detail equipped. Compelling concept, organic produce from the Region. Service was probably a bit tight, but friendly. Food good but not outstanding. BUT: don't expect any flexibility in the menus. Special requests are taboo, there are to eat what is on the map! The boss can be quite superior and almost be offensive. For me now is an absolute NO-GO! Too bad.

Certainly one of the most beautiful Restaurants in the Region. Very nice hotel room where one finds peace, and finally self what to do and not only in the telly rigid. EG, read a book, or even with your partner to talk to, would be something. The food is very fine and the wine matches.

The Pfaffenkeller is our absolute favorite. Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere and friendly owner. I can the bad reviews do not understand, in my opinion, there is a Troll at work. You disagree with all the very good reviews of the restaurant (Michelin, etc).

We were three at the 24. July in the Restaurant, and can only praise about the food, service, and ratio of price to reports, it was the beautiful weather the garden area is used, just wonderful. Also the interior is lovingly and with much taste. I can not understand that here at all negative reports are, whether because of hostilities the Hotel/restaurant owner compared to exist.

Ambience is very nice — staff is friendly — eat well — have at the price of 35 € for a better quality expected — Greeting from the kitchen, and soup were ok Main course indefinable Dessert soup! — all unloving without decoration served — poor judgment — conclusion will no longer go there.

Good food committed hosts nicer place.
