Very tasty food, great atmosphere and an insanely beautiful, park-like garden with a great outdoor terrace.

3 days/nights in the house Reck and what can I say… Pure relaxation and enjoyment! the room invites you to a restful sleep, a dreamlike garden with water feature and fruit trees slows down the stressed soul and the kitchen is magnificent… the quality of the food and the cordial hospitality make you speechless. We are happy to come back and are already looking forward to a great roast onion roast ❤

Nice, medium-looking hotel with attached restaurant. The food is very recommended. Rooms are very clean but not very modern furnishings. The TV is a little small for the very large rooms.

The Reck's Hotel and Restaurant both are top notch. My family and I are staying here at the hotel for two days. They have amazing art on the walls, sculptures and a great sense of design. The facility has a banquet hall on the grounds for larger events or groups. We had dinner last night it was elegant and of superior quality. I had venison with chantrel and crimini mushrooms and spaetzln. My wife had the trout and potatoes. Our children had stroganoff and veal. Everything tasted superb and was cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse with fresh fruit, it's was excellent. If you are in the area of the Bodensee Lake Constence and want excellent service, food, a lovely and quiet place to stay choose The Reck's. Pete C.

Just spent a week here while visiting Salem for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. As before, staff were always wonderfully warm, friendly and attentive, and the food was superlative. Breakfast was an amazing spread that included a wide range of fresh and dried fruits, selection of meats, cheeses, breads and even olives. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, and the decor varied and interesting. The outdoor area is noteworthy in that the terrace dining is much less crowded than many such set-ups. There are beautiful pear and apple trees in the lush garden beyond the terrace, and benches and chairs strategically located around the place. The lake-side cafes and castles of Lake Constance are just 20-30 minutes away, and the hotel is 5 minutes from the delightful 'Schloss See' (Castle Lake) which with the giant wooden pirate ship and brilliantly-conceived kids' play area is a paradise for families. The hotel is ideal for families, couples or business travellers, and arriving by train is very easy as it is literally across the road from Salem station. Highly recommended!

A big compliment and an even bigger thank you to the Reck family, we celebrated our wedding there on 21.6.2014. Although we have always been enthusiastic about everything, our expectations have been exceeded! The food was great, the organization was sensational and the whole process top! Also that the ladies Reck have read almost all wishes from our eyes and fulfilled with a lightness. We couldn't have found a better location. Thank you very much! Shemena & Francesco Torre.

Very good place; Beetroot carpaccio and Vitello Tonato, the boiled beef brisket, as well as the veal rump were hervorragned cooked and tasted unusually delicious.
VERY much recommended.

We were already quite often in the horizontal bar (birthdays, christenings, weddings). The food was always fresh and that costs just some time.
The staff was always friendly and obliging. My next major celebration will take place in the horizontal bar again.
