Can only recommend the hotel, were only two nights there. Rooms were modernly decorated. Breakfast buffet was top. Will definitely come back.

I would give my stay 5 stars however they gave Christmas market vendors space outside of my room. This means that not only do I have to weave around their goods to get to my room but also for about 4 or 5 hours I have to listen to people walking through the hallway looking atr eally poorly made tourist trap goods that they won't buy. When I said something to the front desk they made it seem as if it was out of their hands. Would have been nice to know this is what I paid all of this money for.

It was two beautiful days with good hospitality, food and nice rooms we also had. Worth a visit at any time, even better even if you book an arrangement.

We stayed two days in the Hofgut stars and were totally thrilled all were very friendly, that food was extremely tasty and breakfast very plentiful The only thing I have to complain about, is the non-asphalt parking lot.

All very nice eat good staff well only a balcony in the room has missing us.

A very well-placed waiter who always laughed, that's how it should be!

Very beautiful and quaint secluded place. The room are cozy and rustic. There is only one choice for dinner and reservations required, we also enjoyed this experience. Set up with a cute placard with your name. We both had schnitzel. It was decent. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our time here.

It's a great place! Wet in the mountains! The atmosphere is great!

I stayed there for one night and it was a terrible one. The room was small and so was the bathing area. I had a room overlooking a fat and thick pipe. There was no ac. When I asked for a fan, they said it was not available. The amount of money they charge it is shameful that they can not provide even a fan. The worst part is the rude and bad behaviour of the staff. It's not acceptable at all. I wanted to give a negative rating.

So far I was happy to be a guest here, but on 16.08.2018 after 23:00 one was prevented from sleeping by bongo drums from the neighborhood. An unding.
The menu is very tight. In winter there is more choice.
The staff is very friendly, polite and attentive.

Basic rooms with details, damaged soap dispensers, old mattresses. Personal cuts. There were No clean tables at breakfast. Chaos. Very nice place.

Very nice location a small minus point is that it is just lying at the B 31 because there is a lot of traffic. But luckily we had a room to get back out to the woods. Here you can go nice hiking the staff is super nice and friendly. The rooms are very nice so on the whole highly recommended.

I was over there and had booked BB. I would stay there again anytime, even for a longer time. The whole good is beautiful and well cared for.
The reception and the stay were very cordial. The dinner and the breakfast were super tasty. Continue so Hofgut stars. I hope I find the time to stay there again soon.

Cozy, comfortable & picturesque hotel with a good forest view which is close to tourists attractions nearby. The food served in the hotel is decent.

It was great. The food was good. The people were all very nice. I found the breakfast best, there was in my eyes a lot of choice. The rooms were clean and the balcony was great too. And the ski area is also not so far away. Of the ways I give five stars.

Was not bad. Selection too modest. Service polite.

Was together with my parents 3 days (2 nights) there. My room was very nice, that of the parents went like that. In their rooms the carpet was no longer the newest and in a bed the slatted grate was backwards. Which was not remedied despite complaint. What you have to praise is the kitchen and all the staff. Always received a very tasty menu and have always been served very friendly and courteous. Also the ambiance in the hotel very tasteful and beautiful.

Really cute authentic Feeling Black Forest Motel. The food there was phenomenal. I didn't really like the side rails on the bed or the footboard because I'm tall and then I have to sleep diagonal but they had a huge bathtub that I could actually lie down in. Usually bathtubs are too short for me.

Despite tighter conditions (10 hours of power outage after severe weather), the busy staff enchanted the restaurant in a wonderful feel-good candlelight atmosphere. Of course, there are many more hard-working employees who work in the background. I don't want to forget them!

This four star hotel becomes five from me! Brilliant service from everyone in the hotel. I also put on weight in their restaurant. We we also bought glass from their shop. If you want to go to the Black Forest you will love it here. It was worth every penny to stay here!

A beautiful place. The rooms are spacious and comfortable (some more than others for the same price, it's OK to ask). It's all very green.

The location is best. Rooms are okay. Service is good.

Although close to the main road, the hotel has a very good and quiet location. The hotel is cosy and the rooms are style furnished. The restaurant is also very comfortable and serves a very good breakfast or dinner. The service at the hotel is also very friendly.
Directly behind the hotel is the hiking trail of the Ravenna Gorge — also highly recommended!

Very nice, rustic hotel with spacious rooms. Breakfast is excellent! The only downside is the somewhat secluded location and the "tourist Hustle" surrounding the hotel. For a stopover in the Black Forest it is highly recommended!

Good location, quiet in the middle of the forest. Friendly staff and pleasantly comfortable room.

The place is adorable, and I'm so glad out tour stopped here. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty and cell service too, but a lot of other things were wonderful including the staff. There were a couple hiking-type trails near by, a restaurant, and so on. I would definitely choose to stay there again if I'm ever back in the area.

Our room didn't have air condition nor a fan like promised, plus the Wi-Fi sucks. The location is good but there are many more places in the area that is close to the main attractions as well. There is a nice restaurant to the hotel which is nice if don't have the power to drive to somewhere else. The breakfast here is great but after few days it's getting boring (the same every day). Our room lakes a mini-fridge so for a stay of over a week it's really annoying! I have to say that the hotel let us store a bag in their fridge. Another positive thing is that there is a parking lot inside the hotel and the room is relatively big. P. S. If you are planning to stay around for more than like 5 days then rent an apartment or small house where you could cook yourself, and if not then go to a different hotel nearby.

We just returned from 2 nights of this establishment and are delighted! The hotel is very clean and very well kept. It is ideally located between Freiburg and the Feldberg.
We were very well received and were fortunate to be upgraded to a family apartment in an annexe.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant and a table is reserved for us each morning with a small welcome note in our name. In the form of a buffet, everything is very good, the choice is varied.
The hotel is very nice, warm, only downside, mattresses much too soft, but we are used to very firm latex mattresses, hence the difference.
The rooms are very large and functional. Everything is well thought out and very clean.
We tested the restaurant in the evening, it is recommended to book. The map is correct, the price also, and everything is very well cooked.
In short we had a great stay, and will come back very soon!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was our third pass, so we were confident and we were sure everything would be all right.
The check in went well, albeit a little cold.

Picturesque hotel in the Black Forest. Very nice rooms, very big! All the amenities, with the exception of air conditioning and we stayed on a very hot night! Breakfast not a lot of variety or amount available.

Great place. Large room with large windows. Good forest views with a stream running outside our window. Very good local beer. Restaurant was not as good but we were with a group on an itinerary menu. Regular restaurant good. Located off the roadways and a nice place to stop.

Amazing location! Easy to come and go as it is close to a main thoroughfare and it has incredible views of the Black Forest and the photogenic viaduct just behind the hotel. The hotel is situated in a little village, all run by the hotel, that attracts several tour groups throughout the day, which can be a little frustrating when try to move about. Great staff and the restaurant is good and not unreasonably priced. Several short walking trails as well as a nice hike through a valley to the town of Breitnau have their trailhead on the hotel grounds. Stayed for three nights and I would definitely recommend as a base to explore the area and have an enjoyable stay at your hotel as well.
