We were with a tour group at the hotel Engel about the Easter holidays. The Hotel Engel is a hotel with such a great love that I will gladly come back. The food is top class, nice compiled dinner menus, a very large, ample breakfast offer up to the glass of sparkling wine, simply lace. And very dear, friendly staff, personal welcome greetings and farewell by the boss "Georg" personally, the superlocation in the Simonswäldertal… nice that there are such nice hotels still there. I can only recommend it!

We have stayed here on our biking trips for at least 6 times now. One of the best hotels we have stayed at! Fantastic food, great value, spotlessly clean and great service, not to mention it is in one of the nicest parts of Germany. George, mum and co, we will be back!

We were often in the 'Angel' guest. The cuisine is excellent and can be recommended to every gourmet. The entire staff is very friendly and competent. The bathrooms of the rooms are in the meantime very beautifully redesigned. Therefore I forgive you five stars.

Super food. We were six people there. We can't get enough of the Lard at the beginning ;). The Haupgerichte were very tasty. So always worth a visit.

The food is great and the staff very friendly. The Breakfast offers everything what the heart desires. The rooms are practical, large and completely sufficient. The decor is a bit in the years to come. The view is very nice. The location is ideal for Hiking and short walks. In the immediate vicinity there are several deer.
