Nice little hotel ideally placed in the Alstadt. A 3 min walk from the cathedral and 5' shopping area. Our room was small especially the bathroom/shower but otherwise practical and tidy. Helpful staff and vigorous german breakfast!

Very sweet and worth the price. The hotel is well located and very welcoming, the rooms are comfortable although you don’t get a double bed but too single beds brought together. The bathroom was clean and modern.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms, a great location in Freiburg and a wonderful included breakfast. Try their restaurant for dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Super location amidst dreamy romantic alleys in the old town. Rooms very chic and clean unfortunately it was from 5:30 in the morning very noisy by garbage collection, goods deliveries etc. So pack earplugs or get up early. Breakfast was sufficient and good but service a little overwhelmed-had to pick everything myself (coffee, cup, milk sugar). All in all but very nice and recommended for a short trip.

Hotel is convenient as it is located 5min walk from the city centre. The room is clean and the hotel reception is polite & helpful. Hotel provides a transport pass which allows you to take the public transport services in the city area for free.

We stayed for an evening in the conservatory of the hotel. Very stylish hotel. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the rooms. The reception staff was very helpful and the location is very good.

Great room in the most gorgeous section of the Altstadt in Freiburg. Convenient, quick walk to the discounted parking garage, cathedral, shops, and restaurants, as well as to the Schlossberg trails, ruins, and Biergarten. Service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Family-run hotel that creates a woolly home-feeling.
Very friendly service-staff, delicious fragrance from the hotel-restaurant-kitchen, fabulous breakfast-ambiance and food (from the region).
Funny winding, clean, great mattresses, located in the middle of the old town in stone throw distance from the Schlossberg.
Storage after check-out possible and also move in the restaurant in exceptional cases.

Cozy and very well located. The décor is antique style yet modern. Cool!

Rather inconspicuous from the outside. Interior rustically decorated and neatly covered. Very attentive service. Regional map with fresh products that are excellently prepared. Special requests are also fulfilled. Who wants to enjoy regional cuisine in Freiburg is right here. Is earmarked for the next visit.

Ate one of the best sausage salads with Brägele there, and it was not even on the card. Flexible, solid cook.

Nice cosy and very centric place. Good breakfast and nice staff. Bedroom is comfy but shower could be better … hope they fix it.

Good location. Good food. Not a large restaurant but pretty good space between tables. Their waitresses are good in English. You may find they are short of manpower during peak hours. Be patient. Goodies take time to prepare.

The Schwarzwälder Hof is a great location right close to a large parking deck and the shopping district of Freiburg. We arrived early and were already allowed into our room. The — friendly cleaning lady coordinated when to clean the room individually with us. We were also happy that the water pressure in the shower was outstanding ;-) Breakfast was good, the fresh fruit salad was even outstanding. When we had arrived at home the hotel emailed us because we had forgotten a dress shirt in our room. They were so kind to mail it to us the same day! Overall a very pleasant stay that we can highly recommend to anyone visiting Freiburg.

This was our first European vacation and the Hotel Restaurant Schwarzwalder Hof was the perfect hotel for our experience. The staff was gracious, the rooms were beautiful and the area charming. Hopefully we will return to Freiburg one day and will absolutely stay at your hotel.

Room in itself okay but old. The open WLAN works, depending on the room, to a certain extent, also applies to the secured. Employees go. Sometimes you need a little longer until you understand a concern.
You can pay the room only on site, no online payment possible.

Excellent. Over the many years I have stayed with you my experience in general has been excellent. I never used the laundry much, perhaps only one time per visit; but I am sorry to see the deletion of the possibility to send wash to the laundry. You have one of the best locations in Freiburg. The Engler family has gone out of their way to make my stays enjoyable.

We had a totally enjoyable stay at this hotel. The reception was warm and friendly, thanks to Angela. She made us feel so welcome. She was always patient as she answered all our many questions. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with many selections and endless servings of tasty hot coffee. We had dinner in the hotel's resturant on two nights and the food was amazing. Just be sure to make your reservations early because the resturant is very popular. Our rooms were in the "Traditional" building but we toured the "Modern" rooms in the annex and both were very nice. The annex is extremely close and a very quick walk away. We will be returning soon.

Very nice hotel. We stayed in a separate building from the main hotel which was about a 1 minute walk. Just the right size and we had a balcony. Staff was friendly and a number of choices for breakfast in their quaint restaurant.

We are regularly in Freiburg and traditionally stay the Schwarzwälder Hof. The Freiburg Minster and the fabulous market are just a few steps away, nice restaurants and Cafés around the corner. The Park House, which you may use as a hotel guest at a discounted price, is within sight. It does not get more central. We are always been friendly and comfortable felt.

We stayed in unit for families, just renewed, in April 2015; clean, quiet, friendly staff and attentive. Rich and varied breakfast. Hotel location is perfect for visiting the city and visit the black forest. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location for sightseeing, Spielbesuch at the SCF and Shopping. Parking garage around the corner. Everything is walking distance.

I was a bit disappointed by the room. It looks old-fashioned and in need of renovation. Tiles detach from the ground and a silverfox crawled through the bathroom. The room was opposite the Lift and it was restless there. Late at night still burned a outside light, the room lit as bright as day, despite the curtain. Otherwise, I think the location is good and the staff friendly.

I have been staying at the Schwarzwälder Hof for the past six years after it was recommended to me by friends who live in Freiburg. I find the management extremely accomodating and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food served in the restaurant is very well presented and based on local cusine, the breakfast offers a very good selection of breads, meats, cheese's and fruit, and both are served in a very pleasent atmosphere. Ideally located for both the town and Black Forest. The rooms are very clean and tidy, I have no complaints at all and will be going back next year.

Already with the arrival we were very warmly received. There were all the questions answered and even a few local tips. The interior of the hotel is in contrast to the Exterior very well maintained and clean. The room had 2 young people are the perfect Size and was modern. The train station and the city centre are easily accessible with the tram in 5 minutes. Accessible. For mass you can in 10min. With PUBLIC transport, driving or convenient to be within walking distance (2km. ). At the reception there is a map for better orientation. The Breakfast has me very positively surprised. There was a very varied Buffet with everything your heart desires. Only at tables lacking a Little. We had to take 5min. On a free table to wait.

“Tour to the southern black forest cycle route” The Central location of the hotel, combined with the friendliness and competence of staff, made our stay a memorable experience. We have two wonderful days and quiet nights in Freiburg spent. The rich Breakfast in the cosy, rustic Restaurant we have enjoyed. The rooms were pleasantly large and the price reasonable. The Effort to ensure the good accommodation for our bikes was remarkable, and because our train was only in the afternoon from Freiburg went, it was no Problem, our Luggage after out in a room as well.

Hotel not far from the center, the staff very friendly, the room quiet, spacious with parcht, and the bathroom modern and spotless, the breakfast was also satisfactory. If I were to return to Freiburg I would choose Schwarzwälder again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful and clean, the breakfast was excellent. Everybody was really helpful.

I was traveling through Germany with my whole family. There were 6 of us in total, 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and we are already planning to come back to this area and will definitely stay here again. They were very kind and accommodating and had a wonderful spread for breakfast.

We were "Repeat offenders" this time about Easter on the Black Forest farm. It is advisable to make a reservation just to such appointments. We had done this and therefore on the booked space and beautifully housed. Despite the rain coming, the sanitary facilities were always tip top clean. A thank you here on the hard-working hands that do this. Also the spa area was again superb. We definitely come again.

Very nice hotel in the middle of the Fribourg old town. Very nice room (I had one of the rooms of the type of "Tradition" with views of the Freiburger Münster). Despite the proximity to the Cathedral, its bells in the room were almost not to hear. Restaurant very recommended the very comfortable beds and the corresponding (Badische Winzerstube — if possible in advance book! ) complete the stay at the hotel Schwarzwälder Hof restaurant.
For me, the hotel Schwarzwälder Hof is a very clear recommendation — both for business and private stays in Freiburg.

The Schwarzwälder Hof is worth a visit! Worth mentioning is the excellent customer service and superb Spa. You will feel fine even on less sunny days. The course is suitable both for families and for groups. There are hiking opportunities for experienced and inexperienced in the Black Forest in almost all places.

This is a beautiful hotel on the lake in Titisee. We felt welcomed when we walked into our room to find to large, traditional German gingerbread cookies and a bottle of water waiting for us. The water we were given was sparkling but the hotel was willing to trade it with us for still water. The bed was comfy and the room was relaxing. The breakfast was tasty and nicer than casual hotel, but not the best I've had. The service at breakfast was okay.

One of the most beautiful places we have visited. After telephone booking of a pitch from Spain, the reception showed their great willingness to help already in the run-up. Arrived at the finish this continued with the provision of an "other" rental bath and the last few days of vacation before returning home were a delight. Nix is locally good, since there is to suspend, the spa area is just drop-dead beautiful. Cheap rental of E-bikes locally is also super great and route planning was on our part properly behilfllich us naturally without demand. Space is ökölogisch makes sense, of course has a price, the conclusion: the Black Forest is worth its price.

Also this year again a short trip to Seelbach! Place always is still super, bathroom as well, not to mention the good local super class, laundry. Only the weather had mismanaged, but since the team of camping can nix that. Instead of the Sun was then shut sauna in a truly beautiful spa area. Once again all tip — top! We will be back.

Camping Black Forest farm — gastronomy a fiasco! Those who arrive as a guest and are looking forward to a food (venison stew) ; get a delicious meal, not as expected but: for the first time, cold meat and cold sauce! After the complaint then the cold meat with hot sauce. As if that were not enough, comes after the cancellation of the Court a different condition and trying the dish microwave with the now on me to get rid of aufgewährmten food. An apology was limited.

Positive: spacious places with a beautiful view friendly staff nice surroundings well-signposted hiking trails dog-friendly place very negative super nice restaurant, with unfortunately little good food.
