I arrived at this hotel with my husband today and experienced something incredible… My husband and I had a reservation, since the hotel was fully booked, we asked if in our room two extra beds could be placed for 1 night for our children. After a hesitation we were told this was not possible… After a further hesitation we received the answer, for 170 Euros it would not be a problem… According to the internet, a regular double room costs 120 euros…

Price performance corresponds to the Hotel Category … Food etc. Is good and sufficient … Spa is very nice … Staff are friendly and accommodating … If you make higher Demands, you just have to spend more and book elsewhere … This partly dishonest Rum Whammer Did not deserve the Birkenhof …

Very good food to choose parking in the underground garage with a charge but fair breakfast and dinner very good a very nice Therme 35 36 degrees outdoor pool 28 ° staff very friendly would love to come here often if the arrival from Bochum is not 700km you should already 7 days to make a holiday here.

Once and never again! Didn't find anything that was OK, so bad food we would have in no hotel yet.
Although the food incl. Was with us we went on 2nd day away breakfast and dinner.

Food was cold every day drinks in the restaurant very expensive, normally at half board would have to be both eating a drink but was not the case favorable cost trap. Never go back. Spa pool with guests crowded because of other hotel's guests also come there.

We have been travelling for 10 years with Hofer-Reisen. We've never eaten so badly! All lukewarm, unloved and of poor quality. The soups indefinable (e. G. Raw vegetables in salted water, next to a bowl of back peas), the desserts tasteless creams with nodules, salad buffet mainly Rohnen and a bowl of rice. Replenished is not voluntary and it lasts forever. The staff speaks poorly German and with each other only in their language. The places in the restaurant are way too cramped, all too small, far too little places. In the spa are reserved for hours, where obviously no one is there. This is for the benefit of all guests, especially those staying at the spa. And one more suggestion: please buy new feather beds! Our goods were ancient and did not fit into the coatings. The hotel did not deserve the stars!

Small thermal baths directly accessible by bathrobe. The Speissessal is not clean enough. The food is very poor for this price and for a 3 star hotel. All ready meals. Rolls from Aldi. Cheap sausages cheap cheese. The soup at dinner didn't taste anything. Overall the food was very poor.
For a hotel in this situation, this may not actually happen.

We stayed 3 nights with breakfast and half board in the Birkenhof. We loved the spa at the hotel. Here we were able to reach the thermal baths directly with the bathrobe. The staff at the reception and restaurant were all very friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel is a bit older, our room was clean and tidy. At our booking via the ADAC the price-performance ratio has always fit and can be recommended again and again.

Rooms are good. Bath room cleaned. The in-house spa should also be thoroughly descaled once. Also the underground parking spaces are only suitable for small trucks. The hotel is from the 70s and you are little done.

Stay from 15.1. To 18.1.18 Now I'm glad I had booked here. Almost I would have followed the negative reviews of some guests to then look for a comparable offer.
I or We were satisfied with our stay at 100%. If the cost of subsistence is set in relation to the performance, there is a very positive picture. I was there with my wife for an extended weekend. Very quiet and beautiful location. There you can leave the big city stress behind and relax. Kudos to the Reception and Fr. Lobring. Very nice and helpful! Price performance great! Had hoped for me less for the money and got more. I can't understand the negative reviews. Food was there enough. But just not a 5star menu. But if you want to do that, you also have to book 5 stars. Thanks for the great days!

Despite the criticisms of bad food that really reminds us of a cheap canteen, nothing changes. It is a pity that this does not make any effort. Will not visit this hotel again. Rooms are old and musty. Look very nice in the prospectus. But has nothing to do with reality. I really pity because one should endeavour to make guests to regular guests. This is not the case here. Has never been so happy to go home again. What a pity.

Bathroom ok. Dirty toilet, toilet brush out of the question. Food: we have eaten yet never so bad. Coffee very watery. No coffee cream. Buffet cheapest goods. Horrible dinner. For a price of 150 euro (3 nights) we expect us already some recovery and better quality and variety.

A friendly-looking house with clean rooms, we had comfort, so somewhat larger. The staff at the reception not friendly but stressed. The cuisine tries to get both breakfast and dinner with inferior ingredients.

The thermal spa is OK, unfortunately the outside deck area very, very small and quickly occupied the usual bad habit, before breakfast already with bathrobe or towel to demonstrate the concern is not turned off and the assignments of the lifeguard tolerated, even though people often only arrive around noon.

We used 3 times in the hotel and also the last. Recovery no trace and that eat leaves to be desired. We wanted to let us pamper and what did we get? Standing at breakfast (no coffee, no bread, and the buffet is empty granted). In the evening it was just. Bulk handling instead of quality.

The Spa is very nice, glockenspiel is carried but by the hotel that shares the Spa of the hotel Birkenhof. Probably the thermal spa is therefore maintained. The rooms are large and spacious. But the rest is located in competition with the cheapest descending. We ate already long not more so mießerabel like in this hotel. Food was edible this week may 1-2, had it down gagging the rest in the truest sense of the word. The hotel management or hotel management, — a disaster. I can woman Zinser de Müller only agree. Was confirmed to us 1 comfort room with balcony. What we got is a room in the attic with a small window. The conditions at the Breakfast and dinner are catastrophic. You have a long time waiting for a place and the Buffet in the queue of the queue.

We were 03. Up 04. February 2015 at the Hotel Birkenhof. We were regular customers. I say were, because our last stay anything but relaxing. We will most likely not more in this Hotel. The new tenant is on mass instead of class! It was already at Breakfast los. We got hard a place. The buffet was constantly plundered. Then, there were no plates available. If you have a plate of it had gotten, then there was the jam, sausage, or anything else all. In the Spa, everything was full. It was hard to find a couch to get. Relaxation looks different. Thank God there are in Bad Gießbach other ways.
