Hotel Magdalena

The hotel is in the heart of Mtskheta Old Town and sits very close to the Kura River. From the mezzanine balcony we can view the beautiful Jvari Monastery that lights up at night. The room is spacious and equipped with a mini bar, and an electric kettle. The host Lela even gifted us local wine which we brought back and enjoyed them at home.

My question back is what is there not to like about a hotel just near a unesco world heritage centre…
Probably when more people come they will be able to upgrade…

Close together the center. The landlord was very hospitable and welcoming. There was a nice pleasant balcony. Coffee in the room. Spacious room. AC in the room.
Some guests found the bed less comfortable but the majority were fine. Otherwise all fine.

We’ve had a very pleasant stay, the place is right in the city centre and has a wonderful terrace. We enjoyed a wonderful evening walk through the nearby streets and later hung out on the terrace. Recommend!.

The landlord is very kind and hospitable to me. This is my first time to Mtskheta while she introduced me about all things of this town and where should I visit firstly, along with what should be my next visit. Highly recommended you to choose this property.

We didn’t know much about the location before we arrived and it was AMAZING. The city is great and you can literally walk to everything within 5 minutes. Lovely little place with off street parking.

Very good location, in the center of the old town in a few minutes walk to the Monastery.
The rooms are on the upper floor reaching by stairs.

Decision to spend the night in Mtskheta rather than in Tbilisi turned out great for our traveling group of five and this wonderful place was big part of our experience.
Situated in the vicinity of Svetitskhoveli Cathedral — it has its own charm, calmness and almost therapeutic energy.
House has everything you need with front yard, private parking and balcony for the lazy time. Everything is clean, well organized and taken care of with attention to details and guest’s needs. Communication prior to our arrival was flawless and breakfast TRULY spectacular with personal touch of wonderful, sensitive owner’s mother — Lela. It’s gotten a bit emotional towards the end of our very short stay which left us with longing for much more. We will be back!

Very cozy place! A colorful house with interesting interior details, located in the very center, with parking space. The yard is surrounded by green grapes. The rooms are clean, good bed linen and mattresses. The hostess is very hospitable and prepares a delicious hearty breakfast, after which you won’t want to eat until the evening ☺

Incredible location, right behind the cathedral, with direct access to the cobbled streets of the old town. Host was responsive and helpful. Room was comfortable. Breakfast also very good, including home made sausage.

We visited in the winter, my guess is this area is much more beautiful in warmer weather. Having said that the room was great and the host was amazing.
Access by car requires calling to have a gate lifted. I forgot that detail, which was sent to me with confirmation, so we parked in a nearby public parking space. The walk might be a bit much for some people — very hilly and cobblestone.
Anyway breakfast was great and she was very helpful. Also very conveniently located to nearby sites.

In the very center of the ancient capital of Georgia. Clean, comfortable. Very caring hostess Lela. She madloba with all my heart! I lived there for a week — the only problem is that they pour chacha on every corner ;) There is where to walk and what to see. An inexpensive taxi takes you to local monuments, the driver waits as long as you like and returns you where you need to go. Breakfasts are praised, but… I don’t have breakfast — I couldn’t evaluate it ;) It’s generally an ideal option for work and meetings via Zoom — no one bothers you, the courtyard is quiet and cozy, and there’s a spacious balcony. Lela and her family have only gratitude and best wishes.

Had a very nice stay here. The owner is a very nice lady, and the breakfast was the best we had in Georgia.
