Secret Spot Lagoon Dream

I can't say enough about this place, and the hostess, Jing. She is so nice. We had a little snafu during our adventure. We accidentally left our keys in a shop but realized after they closed. It was very stressful for us. She was calm and understanding. We were able to get the keys the next morning without any issues.
We enjoyed the pool and stargazing at night. It is far enough away from Tahiti that they really dazzle. We enjoyed taking the kayak out. The lagoon is really impacted by the tide, so plan your kayaking around the high tide and follow her directions to skirt around the coral.
We enjoyed walking to Tahiti Ma'a and Snack Mahana. Both places have fantastic food and service! The snack Mahaha booths on the ocean were exceptional.

We have never stayed in a small place like this so dont expect it to be like a resort. Everything is more than adequate but we had to get used to not having things at our fingertips so we couldn't get a car or taxi easily. However, the worker gave us a ride to the store to pick up some things. Jing was helpful in getting us a car later and a taxi back to the airport. Having the amenities of your own house is nice. The pool is small but perfect for the couple bungalows that are here, and being able to just look out over the Lagoon from the pool is awesome. I would recommend getting a car when you arrive unless you already have a bunch of tours planned, then just try and arrange one early for the days you want it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Detail oriented host. Ugly view of brown lagoon unfortunately. The pool is nice but surroundings are not at all attractive. It was a bit icky using the kayak but possible.
Unfortunately they collect cash taxes at check-in but don't provide change. That caused a lot of misunderstanding and conflict with Doris who works for Jing.
The house is lovely. But the bathroom is abysmal. Awful shower stall. But nice to get complimentary mini Tahitian bath and body items. There is no electric dryer indoors. This means you have to hang your wet clothes outside and birds poop on them. They provide beige beach/pool towels and nice white bath towels. They also provide 3 kinds of fruit and UHT milk and a loaf of frozen sliced bread. Be warned that Snack Mahana is only open limited days of the week and you must arrive early for lunch there.
We survived without a car but it was very challenging walking far distances in the heat with no sidewalks or footpaths.
Host booked dinner reservations for us at restaurants that offer free shuttle service! We chose snorkeling tours that offered shuttle service for a small fee. Taxi is best pre booked. 50000 one way to ferry port.
