We arrived at the hotel with fabulous expectations and after having made our reservations back in 2019, we were expecting everything to go super smooth! However, upon arrival we had to wait for 4 hours before checking in as there were no rooms available! This was still OK since we realised there is a demanding customers and long queues. After we waited and showed understanding, we were originally promised a sea view room, which the staff and management at reception “kindly” rejected as those weren’t available either… After waiting for another 1 hour and 30 minutes (after the original first 4 hours) we weren’t still allocated the sea view. We arrived at room after waiting endlessly around the pool during the day to be provided ANY service at all weather drinks or food, however staff was just hustling around the bar with no direction. All customers were complaining around the pool. We waited for more than an hour to receive an order of drinks and food. Then we queued again patiently another 10mins at the bar to be told food needs to be ordered only if you are seated at a table, however there was no one to serve you at the table. This is not to blame the serving staff 100%, it’s the system they have in place. Then we went to our room where a faulty iron and ironing board was provided. This resulted in burning my dress in seconds as the iron temp was blocked and the knob would not move. A member of staff promised the manager will be in touch the morning after. We are still in the hotel and no one has ever been in touch… We then ordered wine and nibbles over the room service to be told they only have wasabi nuts but when room service arrived there were no nibbles available… We wonder what our 4 ⭐️ Cannes adventure still holds?!
