Having a great stay @Hotel Richelieu. The location is perfect! Everything you might want is within a 10 min. Walk: trainstation, beach, shopping area, market and supermarkets, café's and restaurants. The hotel is charming and French. The staff is more than welcoming and friendly. Always ready to help or to offer advise, available for a friendly chat (in several languages). The rooms might be a bit small, but keep the 2-star rating in mind. The room has almost everything you need including airconditioning. Keep in mind, this is not one of those big and anonymous hotel-chain hotels. The cleanliness is ok and the rooms are quite quiet, especially at the back of the hotel. (You might hear guests coming in at night or going for breakfast in the morning. ) The breakfast is continental with a French twist. I definitely recommend staying here and will be back if I come to Menton again.

We felt like home when we stayed at Hotel Richelieu. They always treated us kindly, and always did everything to meet our needs. The rooms are decorated with a great taste. The location is Very close to the sea, the train station and it is in a nice area. I recommend subscribing to their Newsletter to get offers and other useful information. I like Hotel Richelieu very much.

The people that worked at the desk spoke English which made things easier. The rooms had a cute French feel to them. The bathrooms we're the only concern due to seeing the individual through the glass door window or the silhouette of a person. The French balcony's we're enjoyable too see. I loved looking at the different paintings of artwork. The rooms were clean, the staff were respectable towards their consumers and the woman who cleaned there took pride in keeping the hallways and rooms freshly clean. I would stay there again. Too bad we didn't get a balcony view but other than this it was an enjoyable stay.

One of my best host during my stay in this area. A very lovely and quiet town, full of historical buildings, beautiful gardens and a lot of water places for your pet. The hotel was located in heart of the town, everything you need for stay. In 10 min by car from Monaco — just awesome. Thank you my dear host for having us at your place ;)

It was a very nice and convinient stay in your hotel as family business. Personally and very friendly. Breakfast french kind tasty and enough. We like to come again because the price/performance ratio is perfect. Next time we can use the new air conditioning which you just installed during our stay. Good cleaning and great location, 5 mins from the waterfront shops.

I stayed in the Hotel Richelieu for a week and enjoyed myself immensely. Room was clean and also the bed linen. Breakfast was adequate and coffee excellent. The hotel is situated close to the town centre and public transport (bus and train) made it easy to travel along the Riviera. If I ever want to stay in the Menton area for another holiday I would be happy to select this hotel again.

But above and most important of all, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff is what makes the Hôtel Richelieu the best in Menton and one of my favorites in the world. They make you really feel at home!

Clean and comfortable room although quite small size. Clean shower. A glass tray would have been preferable because the shower curtain tends to stick to the body given the proximity.

Small hotel close to everything. Only small downside the insulation which is really very light. We hear our neighbors like we're in their room. The shower with curtain is not top either. Room view of the city very noisy same window closed. Continental breakfast provided with a coffee for me a tea bag U for my wife, of a croissant each, two servings of bread, and two slices of brioche bread and a glass of orange juice U as it is at the corner of the street no fruit on the horizon it's really a pity. Very courteous staff.

Made reservation confirmed for twin room a week in advance and then only double so one had to sleep on lucky bed!

Very good breakfast for a reasonable price.
Comfortable and clean room. Bathroom not very large which did not stop us from having a perfect stay in Menton.

Ideally located in the city centre and close to the train station this hotel was partially renovated. Comfortable room with bathroom. Good Wi-Fi connection I would come back.

I have stayed there many times, and its my favourite hotel in Menton ;) it’s lovely and very quiet and central. Yes it could be newer inside but the internet connection is good and the showers are great, so not much more is needed for a business trip.

Great hotel for 2 stars, perfect! The room was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is perfect, everywhere the pictures of the sea. The staff is very polite. Quiet and some rooms have a bath rum and Natalia.

Excellent reception and excellent value for money, the location being excellent in Menton: close to the sea and pedestrian streets. Parking nearby. Dogs are welcome and there is even a beach that is reserved for them at 2 steps. Room of an old-fashioned charm but good bedding and very quiet. Good breakfasts. Great step!

Considering the low price off season I would say the hotel is OK! Definitely the décor and dated and the mattresses are not the best but everything works and is clean. On foot you can easily reach the centre in 10 minutes. Too bad parking is easy in that area.

I had an amazing stay, very nice hotel, good location, easy to find, on a Main Street. The staff is very nice & caring. Check in was easy and the receptionis was very nice and helpful, gave me a lot of information about the town and tourist attractions, very professional. The hotel is very clean and smells very good everywhere. The room is very nice & clean. Shower is excellent. Breakfast was very good and the lady serving breakfast super sweet. I loved everything about the hotel.

I liked the location and the price.
I did not like the plastic pads on the pillows (yes yes, on the pillows! It makes noise when you move…), the dust on the shelves in the closet, the bed covers older than me, stained and disjointed in places.
Overall it remains a good address for the small budgets, the boss makes renovations, remains to be hoped that the bedspreads are part of the lot.

Room clean a bit retro so you know a bit of mold… okay just to sleep one night, high price compared to service. Great location downtown.

Clean, comfortable, in the center a few steps from the sea. We were in a triple, double bed in the standard with comfortable mattress, extra large bed and also this with a good mattress.

+ cheap + the personal were nice — lack of cleaning… Sheets with hairs — dirty towels also with hairs on it — noise from the reception — absolutely no views.

Although the rooms themselves are well maintained and clean, the hotel management was a little poor. Our rooms were mixed up and for compensation were offered complimentary breakfast. Which is primarily toast, baguette and croissants with tea or coffee. Good if you're on a tight budget otherwise you can definitely do better.

Too bad, impossible to sleep in the morning.
Impossible to sleep due to noise from the staff and the neighborhood. Very noisy and the noise problem of the breakfast room located on the same floor that some rooms, especially when some clients speak very loudly and laughing to no end of 7 in the morning on Sunday without that person do them to calm down a minimum. More hot water also, Sunday morning around 10: 00.
In addition the staff is rude and does not access the requests of the customers.
The information set forth on the site are false because we booked a room with a balcony, or on-site we discover a room close, little light, the dirty sheets with hair present on the pillowcases.
Finally lift sewer odors emanate from the bathroom when we take our shower.

This is a great hotel at an amazing price. Beautiful very old revitalized hotel. The owner is a great guy with a great story of how he got here owning this hotel in Monaco. Yeah it's small but that's how they were back then. Air conditioning and everything you really need unless you're supper picky then I'd suggest going somewhere else and letting the people that will appreciate something beautiful from the past in an amazing place. Monaco!

Best hotel I have ever visited. Everything is perfect. I really enjoy my stay. Staff is very friendly, the owner is very nice person, very clean very quiet. Its a five star hotel. Thank you for the nice memories.

After a reservation made on the net from April 08 to April 10, 2015 home sterile but not serious I am a Chin to work after a day I fell asleep with the TV it caused me to change my room and told me no room for the week after next check availability of rooms for this period thanks.

Good morning, especially to the Manager and owner of the said property. I am writing to say that I had a great time in this simple, but clean and very presentable. The cleaning ladies, very polite and precise. The lady who served us breakfast, which is also highly educated, clean and friendly. The gentleman at reception, though did not understand well the Italian has proved to be always very present. Will definitely be staying here again and definitely recommending to all my friends who often go on the French Riviera. Thanks again to all the staff at the hotel.

Very decent for the price, a friendly staff.

This unassuming hotel spread across three floors is run by a couple of friendly older guys who make you feel at home even in a touristy place like Menton. The rooms are basic but the prices are fair _ the same goes for breakfast. Free Wifi in the building, plenty of parking outside, and the old town is less than 5 minutes walk away.
