Review of Armenonville 3*

Bad customer service at Hotel Armenonville. We called the morning of our check in to make sure we could check-in after 9 pm and they said that would be no problem. We arrived at 9:30 pm and the guy at the desk couldn't find our reservation. Come to find out they had cancelled it earlier that day. We gave credit card info in advance through a third party site and everything was good to go with confirmation emails until the day of. Apparently they didn't accept the specific credit card we had supplied but neglected to tell us in advance even though they were supposed to. Instead they sent us confirmation emails, etc. And then waited till 3 pm the day of to cancel our reservation because they couldn't run the card, even though they knew we were coming! By now the hotel was full and we didn't have a place to stay at 10:30 pm. We had to hurry and book another hotel and order a taxi to get us there. I asked the hotel desk attendant to order us the most honest taxi guy he knows, and I was hoping they would offer to pay for the taxi. Not only did they not pay for the taxi, when the taxi driver showed up, the meter was already running and was at 10 euros already. I went in and asked the guy to help me explain to the driver that I'm not going to pay that because its dishonest to start the meter before you show up. The hotel guy just disregarded me and said, "Its not my problem, I've done enough for you already! " We had no choice but to take the taxi and we ultimately got double ripped off by armenonville. We were happy we found another place though because armenonville is in a bad part of town far from the center and promenade. I've never had such a bad experience with a hotel in my life and they did nothing to help me out in the situation I was in.
