The perfect hotel from which to explore the D-Day Beaches and Normandy in General. Based in central Caen this hotel is stylish and run by the nicest couple you could wish to meet, Briac and his wife Ofelia. I would not contemplate staying anywhere else and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Correct nothing more.
Faulty air conditioning. Very small room. Noisy.
But welcome. Diverse breakfast.

Went with Rifleman tours, so this is the second time visiting The Royal. Excellent place with great staff and now a cosy bar. Will be heading back next time.

The rooms were verry nice and new but the hotel still had a lot of French charm with the beautiful front. The people were also verry nice.

Our group, Mariposa Pipes and Drums, stayed at Royale Hotel while visiting Juno Beach. The staff were helpful, patient and very accommodating. The rooms were spotless and the patio restaurant served great meals in the evening after our tour of "beach" and information Centre.

Clean and well-heated establishment. Pleasant relaxation for a coffee break.

Clean hotel in the middle of town. Freshly refurbished, friendly staff and helpful. Too bad it doesn't have a parking space and that the rooms are really small.

The hotel is owned by a couple who are extremely hospitable. The rooms are pleasant and very clean and not very expensive by European standards. Breakfast is available for a charge.

Wonderful Hotel, perfect position to visit Caen that is really nice, garage just in front of the hotel, room clean and quite, personnel very kind… a must if You have to stay in Caen!

A lovely visit on our road home from Forges in Brittany to Scotland. Extremely well catered for by the helpful staff here including provision and assistance for my wife who is mildly disabled as regards movement. A nice well appointed room and breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of breads cheeses, hams or, simply cereals. Coffee — excellent.

Great location, clean room. Very modern on the inside. Convenient parking at the exit of the hotel at the Place de Republique. Great spot as a center place for you Normandy trip. Value for money I think. Enough great restaurants nearby.

Service was great, barely noticed cleaners and wait staff. Everyone was hospitable and I never had to wait more than 30 seconds for any kind of service.

Very well located in Caen, friendly staff who are accomodating when it comes to keeping bags for a while even after you left the room.

Small room but inexpensive and central in Caen. Very friendly staff. The hotel ask that you check in your fob key to the front desk before you exit the hotel and pick it back up when you return. Parking garage available across the street for €17/day or street parking is free from 21:00 — 09:30.

During a harsh winter, on a snowy evening, I was greeted by Ofelia and Briac in their hotel, they offered me a warm welcome, a real comfort awaits us and impeccable service …
I recommend it to everyone, very nice place!
