We made a visit by torchlight of the castle. Tour de 21h a 22h30. Led by two history buffs, costume party. Beautiful castle in the heart of the history of Normandy.

Great service. A a so nice surprise…

From the outside Hui and inside, — well! In the room it smelled of kitchen, opening windows overlooking the pigeon toilet.
I just wasn't happy and wouldn't go back.

A historic place to discover as a family — The history of the castle is very well explained by large explanatory signs — The courtyard accessible by armchair is very well maintained — A restaurant will welcome you on site as well as a huge parking lot —

I ate very well, efficient service very good value for money.

Low-end room decoration.
Tiny and uncomfortable shower room. Impossible for a large person to sit properly on the toilet.
TV does not work. Smell of waste water in the bathroom and no responsible present to take your claims. Very average meal. I really do not recommend this establishment which has nothing of a three star.

We are long-time customers; We liked the establishment, we adore it now!
The new owners so charming have changed just the right thing.
The rooms redone are very tasteful and the bedding perfect.
The general decoration has also been redone while respecting the wonderful soul of this House which increases the feeling of being privileged in these places.
I reassure former customers, the chef has not changed! The table is always delicious, quality food and impeccable service.

What were we going to do in this cooler?
Oh! Not everything is negative! The reception and service are very correct, the table nicely put and we are nine friends, happy to meet us around.
Alas! The Knights ' room is icy, even if, outside, the sun is shining on this Sunday of April… He failed to cross the thick walls of the castle.
The Radiators are cold. We ask if it is possible to have a little heating and, immediately, a wood fire is lit in the chimney. A fire of wood, that is to say that three wretched embers try to resist asphyxiation…
We choose the menu at 39 euros but, at the aperitif, you have to claim some toast, not even planned, seems it. They arrive quickly, composed of two small ramekins containing green olives stained with brown and, accompanied by a single hot toast (rather good) per person…
On the meal side, the fatty liver too salty appears tiny on its large rectangular plate, despite an effort of decoration.
Almost veal and filet of beef are very medium, masked under a thick brown sauce…
The desserts quite varied but without great research, are rather good but not enough to make forget the cold of the room… That's why we're not going back!

I put a very bad note in qualifying my point. It's been two years since I had eaten in the restaurant of the chateau. I had a great memory of it. So it was with the memory of good food that I went there Sunday noon.
1st surprise: Empty room (just a table of 2 people occupied in addition to us).
2nd surprise: A very nice server but rather stressed and a little "lost".
3rd surprise: The kitchen, correct entry (too salty for my taste), cold dish too cooked and sauce so acidic as inedible… dessert what to say the pears were not ripe.
After having meant, kindly, to the server that the plate was not good, he returns everything sheepish without too much dare to speak to us. He let us know that he always has returns on sauce or cooking.
The chief did not move, he just ouspillé the server that is not for nothing.
Not a leader attitude in any case…
After discussion with the reception person, there seems to be a real problem with this leader and I understand better the desertification of which the restaurant suffers. Pity it was a good address despite the €4 increase menus in 2 years.
Lots of other good restaurants in the area so…

Very nice setting of old castle Fort refined restaurant but perfectible.

If you are seduced by the medieval ambiences, it is found with this hotel. As a result, it is cosy, a little offbeat, quiet (the ghost of Bricquebec was on vacation near a Scottish loch) and thus credible to cross Francis I or Queen Victoria (illustrious hosts of these places). For the ambiance choose the rooms from 1 to 3. The restaurant benefits from the historic setting with good food. Free parking in the heart of the chateau-fort in front of the rooms and night light.

Very very disappointed with the room without any cachet and the services not always up to par.

Lovely place to stop over after a late channel crossing. Off the main routes and a proper experience of France, just off the ferry. Will visit again.

Very nice and enjoyable to look round. If you visit on a Monday the market is also on.

We have dinner on 11/06: what a disappointment! the site is remarkable and indeed card tempting as the bottin gourmand, the michelin and routard Guide recommendations are. If you enjoy eating forget this address. The raw materials used are more than mediocre (frozen products for fish, low quality pasteurized cheese). Unacceptable for a menu to 29 euro.

An impressive building, a warm welcome and a dinner of good quality in an all inclusive… It's really a night Castle!
