Maison Douce Époque is a stunning boutique-style hotel set on beautifully maintained grounds. We visited in January, and the property was still lush—so I can only imagine how gorgeous it must be in the warmer months. The hotel reception and valet staff were extremely hospitable and provided excellent service throughout our stay.
We booked a suite overlooking the pool, which was lovely and beautifully furnished, with a very comfortable bed. The view was wonderful, and the bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower.
A few minor suggestions for improvement in the room would be adding a closet or designated space for luggage, brighter lighting, and a larger mirror in the bathroom.
The hotel offers beautiful views of Deauville and the coastline, and the pool area is exquisitely designed.
The restaurant offered a pleasant breakfast. However, I would not recommend it for dinner, as the service was lacking and the menu options were quite limited. That said, this should not dissuade anyone from staying at this beautiful hotel—we would happily return and simply dine elsewhere for dinner.
