Beautiful building, beautiful room, library and beautiful living room all in a setting of greenery and tranquillity. Friendly and friendly service by David, the owner of the place. Dinner and pt. Lunch are made on the spot with local products. A place really to recommend.

It's a great hotel! For those who want to have a quiet time, plunge headlong into the atmosphere of French language, culture. Rooms of different levels in great style, the hotel is located in an old estate, the creaking floor goes well with the convenience and comfort of the rooms. Be sure to order dinner and wine! The hotel owner is very hospitable. Wine is pouring down the river. After the main course, local cheeses are sampled. It's delicious! After dinner, a warm welcome in the main living room for tea/coffee. We loved it. You can take a bottle of local beer from the refrigerator and enjoy nature in the yard of the hotel. In general, I recommend, as two, and with children. Playground and plenty of space!

Best place I ever stayed… Beautiful place, full of history, and very welcoming! Comfortable rooms, fine dinners, and a good place to stay between trips to Metz, Nancy, Strasbourg, Vosges and Alsace. And David is a host as nice as you wish for! I visited Alteville 4 times, and will return for sure!

A beautiful setting, far from everything, calm and relaxing, a very pleasant and warm welcome, a style beginning of the century. I thought I was in a Maupassant novel. I loved it.

Very nice rooms without TV and a smell of mold everywhere. Otherwise the service is a little staid but attentive.

We had a lovely stay in this charming chambres de sejours. It's a lovely classique building with a beautiful garden and view at the blond acquitaine cows (from his brother's farm). Don't expect a fancy, shiny hotel, but a nice place with lots of historical paintings, furniture (Louis 16). Diner is homemade and served like a table d'hote with the other guests. David is a great host (also speaks English and German) and we could even borrow his bikes. We cycled to the nesting storks (april/mei). What a chance to be so close to nature!

The choice of organic products made in France for the reception of visitors is significant attention by our host down to the last detail. Recommend.
