If you want a rural idyll, with professional service, in a fully relaxed atmosphere, with beautiful accommodation and exceptional meals, then Hugues and Michael provide this at Maison des Etoiles (house of the stars — the astronomical type! ). We had the Table d’hote and I can honestly say it’s one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We enjoyed eating with the other three couples (we are English, the others French, all of us completely different ages, straight and gay). Hugues and Michael made this a very special occasion. Breakfast, with a view, was wonderful. We stayed as part of a slow drive north from Provence but I can see this could be a lovely two night stay. We originally hired bikes but realised we didn’t have time to use them, so this was removed from our booking, without any problem. The use of a 7kw EV charger was especially helpful for us and available at a very reasonable price.
