My husband and I had a recent stay at La Bastide, and absolutely loved it. We will stay here next time we are in the area again! The house was beautifully restored, and has a nice history. Everything was immaculately cleaned and fresh feeling. The area was super quiet — a true countryside feeling. The city of Albi was fun/easy to explore and is not far (a short 10 minutes or so drive). Fabrice gave us great advice on things to do and places to eat in Albi. The home is surrounded by beautiful fields of sunflowers, which were about to bloom when we left — I can only imagine it will be even more beautiful. We stayed in Chambre 1, which is upstairs. The room was very spacious, super clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated as well. The bed was very nice — we both have bad backs, but slept well on this bed. There is a walk-in closet with shelves and a full body mirror, a spacious bathroom with large shower as well (nice water pressure and hot water). We found ample fresh towels and a hairdryer. We arrived during a fluke heat wave in S. France, but the air conditioner felt wonderful. As well there were two windows that could be opened to the outdoor fresh air. We did not have time to swim in the pool, but it looked very clean and inviting. The breakfast table was beautifully laid with so many delicious options — including some homemade! Fabrice and his parents were extremely kind and delightful — we greatly enjoyed meeting them.
A wonderful place! Extremely clean, super comfortable and spacious room. Delicious breakfast! We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome! A short drive from the bustle of a lovely tourist town, La Bastide gave us the best of both worlds, the beautiful sights in Albi and the sparkling swimming pool to relax by when we were done! The bonus was having our host give us tips on where to eat and what were the “don’t miss” spots to visit in and around Albi. Highly recommended!

This was the best B&B accommodation we've ever stayed in! Lovely peaceful setting. A beautiful old farmhouse which has been very tastefully decorated. Our room was spacious with good views, a lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious — pastries, bread and home-made jam (from home-grown fruit), freshly squeezed orange juice, (cereals and yoghurt also available). Nothing was too much trouble for Fabrice, including phoning restaurants and advising on the best places to see and where to park in Albi. We very much hope to be back sometime!
