L'autre Rives

I was blown away by the spectacular interior design! No wonder "design" is in the name. The host was very welcoming and gave us a map with highlights of restaurants and where to buy the city pass to save on visiting the choir and the Toulouse-Lautrec museum. I know what you are thinking, a paper map in this day and age? Well I was thinking the same thing too, but it turned out to be very useful when Google maps had low accuracy and added to the adventure. The host made a homemade, gluten free orange-almond cake for us!

Isabelle and Phillipe made our experience a truly memorable one. Conveniently located, beautiful rooms and garden, not to mention the amazing breakfast freshly prepared by the host every morning.

This B&B is a very stylish, clean and spacious place to stay. Close enough to the center of Albi to be able to walk there, far enough to enjoy a calm night.
The hostess is very nice and helpful. She knows a lot about Albi and the area.
Breakfast is luxurious and complete and has local and homemade products, with we loved.
We enjoyed this stay and the city of Albi a lot.
We highly recommend this place!

Isabelle prepared gluten free foods specially for me despite our not having notified her in advance. The food was predominantly home made including yogurt and cakes — all excellent. We arrived late because our flight had been delayed three hours and so picked up the hire car in the dark but our belated arrival did not cause any problem.

Fantastic stay. The location is out of city center but walking distance, 15 mins, to Cathedral. And old district. Isabelle and husband are marvelous hosts. Great knowledge of city and local history. Morning's were punctuated with a wonderful cake. A true culinary delight to start day.

We are so pleased we discovered L'Autre Rives and definitely recommend it as a wonderful place to stay. It was delightful in every way — an amazing house, beautifully furnished, delicious breakfast with local produce, tranquil garden and inviting pool, a convenient location and very quiet and peaceful.
We stayed for two nights in the Ethnique room which was a lovely spacious room, very comfortable and a great bathroom.
Isabelle is a knowledgeable and expert host who genuinely cares that her guests have the best possible stay. She made us feel so welcome and was very helpful recommending what to see, where to eat and making bookings. She also speaks English fluently which made things much easier for us.
All in all a perfect place to stay in Albi!

Beautiful house, rooms very comfortable with air conditioning. Warm welcome from Isabelle, with excellent help for reserving restaurants and info for local attractions. Only thing missing was soap holder in the shower! Great breakfast. Easy walk into town. A place to recommend.

Superb and welcoming chambre d'hote, not far from the centre of Albi. Our room was excellent, with everything we needed and much more character than a typical hotel room. Isabelle, our host, was attentive and gave us advice on what to see and do in Albi. She also served a delicious breakfast — again, not your typical fare, but with healthy options and lots of choices. We highly recommend this place.

A wonderful bed and breakfast within walking distance to everything. Spent a couple of days exploriing the town. Wonderful very caring host who does everything to make your trip enjoyable and very knowledgable of the town and the "must" sees.

We spent a magical romantic weekend at the Autre Rives! A warm welcome on arrival, a sumptuous house and garden, the pool also amazed us! We had booked the Zen suite and the services, comfort and taste are at the rendezvous! Valuable tips to discover Albi and who helped to beautify our stay! Breakfast is prepared with heart a lot of homemade and everything is delicious! Want to disconnect go there with your eyes closed we will come back! A huge thank you again to our hostess for her kindness and superb welcome!

We leave the Other Shores, rejuvenated, rested. It is a magnificent address that combines charm of the place, good taste, well thought out spaces, landscaped garden like a haven of peace. Breakfasts are generous, homemade, varied from one morning to the next. Isabelle and Philippe are both listening while remaining discreet. We enjoyed our stay in all its facets. We warmly recommend this beautiful address, located a few steps from the historic center of Albi.

Warm atmosphere in this house restyled from floor to attic with a cheerful and quality contemporary decoration. Great comfort. Careful welcome from Isabelle. A 10-minute walk from the historic heart of Albi, the pretty garden and swimming pool are surely a big plus in the warm season. Recommended stop with dinner possible on site if late arrival.

We spent 3 wonderful days on our wedding anniversary. The house of Isabelle and Philippe is beautifully decorated, not to mention the garden and swimming pool which are also remarkably maintained.
Isabelle's welcome and wise advice on the right addresses in Albi have allowed us to enjoy the many museums / good restaurants of the city (all accessible on foot! ) and its surroundings.
Finally, we would dream of having Isabelle's breakfasts in the daily: the homemade pastries are delicious, change every day and the rest of the breakfast is very plentiful (Cheeses, pastries, yoghurt…). We will be back and we would definitely recommend this place of peace!

The place is a little paradise on earth. Everything was perfect. The house and rooms are tastefully decorated and very well maintained. We don't talk about the garden and the pool… magnificent. Breakfast was very hearty and delicious. Isabelle is a lovely host and always listening to how she can make the stay as enjoyable as possible.

A guest room of character and sweetness. Decorated with taste by Isabelle, a place borrowed from serenity and sweetness. Very quiet in the centre of Albi and a 10-metre walk from our beautiful Cathedral in Albi. Owners who listen but also very discreet and respectful of your well-being. An ideal place to recharge in a green setting that Philippe takes care of.
