Hotel Le troubadour in Rocamadour was a nice surprise.
The whole region is really magical with its medieval charm.
The rooms were spacious (with no elevator), the service and the welcoming were exquisite, the location is very good, there are plenty of parking space.
You can relax by the pool whenever you feel like it.

What Frank and Matthieu are doing here is special. It’s a hotel for everyone, from babies to pensioners. You could never be bored. There is plenty to do and see locally.
The grounds are pleasing, with nut trees and more. You will see notices dotted around the garden offering information about the various buildings. They have restored one of the out offices into a games room and there is a large, inviting swimming pool with bar service.
Our room (14) was large, comfortable and recently-refurbished. The bathroom was excellent with a large walk-in shower and there was a separate lavatory. Downstairs, in a large room, breakfast is buffet-style (hot and cold). The scrambled eggs were excellent, as were the croissants. Next time, I will try the local Rocamadour cheese.
An extensive range of local, artisan treats and gifts are available on site and we shopped. Ask for local restaurant recommendations and they are happy to help.
Bravo, gentlemen. You are setting a high bar.

This is our second time here and it remains a charming, welcoming, restful and rural spot. Great swimming pool. Shame it is not doing evening meals at the moment but it is only a 10-minute stroll into L’Hospitalet so that is no big deal. Spotlessly clean and attractive pool area with birdsong all around.
