Hôtel Terminus

This was an interesting place. It's a bit of a faded lady with some lovely old details from when it was built over 100 years ago (and was probably quite a nice place to stay near the stately train station of its day) but has some dated updating from I'd guess the 80's or 90's (and now the train station location is not as charming as it probably once was). Still, it wasn't far (maybe 15-20 mins walk) from both the medieval bridge (which is a nice visit) and the town centre. Free parking was available (they also have underground parking for a small fee), which is a nice bonus in town when passing through on a road trip. The hotel restaurant provided a nice dinner with really quite attentive service and there was a basic petit dejeuner in the morning. Personally, I prefer the quirkiness of a place like this over the more sterile but newer hotels of the same class.

I only went here to eat.
The place has some old fashioned grandeur. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Food was served outside on the beautiful terras with some sparks of the vanishing sun. Here they know how to cook! it was really splendid. The choices in drinks where also good.
Great value for money.

Rarely I rate a hotel so low. The hotel may have "character, " but its many stages of dilapidation and old surfaces don't add up to "character. " It's also very noisy given its location.
Sorry we didn't feel the love! I understand you will be disappointed with this review, but we were also disappointed in our 2 night stay.

The reception lady was so friendly and welcoming. The location was superb right opposite the train station. It was about 5 mins walk to the commercial street where we found lots of restaurants and cafes.
The hotel is old but the room was tastefully done and very spacious. Bathroom was in good size and beautiful classy bath in the middle. There was very good heating system so the room was warm and cozy on a winter night stay.
Parking was easy, either by the road or in the hotel's own parking slot, not gated. Highly recommend it.

The Hotel Terminus had the best shower and the best towels of any hotel we stayed in during our trip across France. We had a very spacious room with a desk and armchairs and views from the window over the train station end of the town. The staff who took on various jobs during our stay we're happy and welcoming and made us feel very much at home. There was a pleasant old-fashioned feel of a genuine art deco hotel with stained glass windows and a delightful restaurant which served absolutely outstanding food and gave us excellent personal service. We could not have had a better anniversary meal and we had a l bottle of delicious local wine to celebrate. In the morning instead of the ubiquitous self-service buffet we had been provided with in other hotels we were served at table by a gracious waiter who looked after our every need. The atmosphere throughout wthe hotel was relaxing and slightly old worldly. I brought the car up from the car park and parked on the pavement to load the suitcases. If we ever pass this way again this would be our hotel of choice. We immensely enjoyed our stay.

Charming hotel. Such history. Each bedroom is different. Food excellent, staff are so helpful. Good value. Very very comfortable. Ideal for walking around Cahors. Although close to the train station no noise. Luckily I am back again to stay later in the year.

A family-owned hotel since the early 1900s, it's been upgraded incrementally over the decades. While some of the fixtures and fittings may be a little old-fashioned, it has a charm absent from the typical chain hotels. It's obviously lovingly managed and the service from the family and staff is attentive and very friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only criticism I would have is that there is a bath with a shower nozzle and no screen rather than a proper shower. But that's a minor inconvenience. All in all it was like a step back in time with beautiful decor including stained glass windows and a curated feel to it. The very good breakfast was traditional French breads and pastries. Highly recommended.

We have been dining at the Hotel Terminus regularly for many years now. The Marre family have owned this wonderful property for over a century and continue to maintain a very high standard of hospitality and cooking. The meals are superb and extremely good value, the welcome is always warm and friendly, and the family members with their young helpers are charming and delightful company. The station is just across the road and the beautiful historic center of Cahors is within easy walking distance.

Perfectly located for exploring historic Cahors on foot, this lovely little hotel is the perfect antidote to faceless corporate lodgings. Sure, it could do with a bit of a facelift in some areas, but the original Belle Époque features in the public areas more than compensate. The welcome was warm, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 1, a spacious suite with very much appreciated air con (it was 43 degrees outside! ). All in all, I can’t recommend this delightful hotel highly enough. Thank you Hotel Terminus for a really great stay.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the station as we needed to get a train to Toulouse for our return to the UK. The hotel is stunning, it has been in the same family since it opened in 1911. The fittings are original and beautiful. Air conditioning in the room was welcome and a super king-sized bed. Linens are beautiful. Loved the bathroom! We were in room 5. Dined in the restaurant which seems popular with locals (always a good sign! ). The Cahors wine was superb and the service from all staff impeccable.

I came to the restaurant here 20 years ago, twice. It was fantastic and so were the people who ran it. I just come back and spent the night after 20 years. I had lunch and then dinner and spent the night. Place is clean, comfortable and professionally run. The folks who run the place and the wait staff are friendly and professional and genuinely hospitable. The food at the restaurant is very good and all in all it’s excellent value for money. Air-conditioning came in very useful given the heat.
