The hotel location is very good, in the town center. From it one can walk in a short while up to the cathedral and other interesting buildings as well as to museums. Likewise the railway station is close to the hotel.
The room I was allocated is rather peaceful but not as snug as one would expect. The bed is comfortable thanks to the mattress which has the adequate toughness to guarantee a good rest. Notwithstanding that, nearly all the other elements of the room are not up to the quality sought. For example, The light isn't bright enough and the desk is too small and not properly lit up for enabling one to read and write without running the risk of getting a headache. The bathroom isn't very comfortable either. The radiator there is too small so that the atmosphere is hardly ever in winter warm enough to have a shower or bath comfortably. In my case it was even worse since when I got into the room, after the check in, the said radiator was switched off. I needed to have a shower after the long drive from home before going out for dinner. As it was late I could not wait a minute, so I had no other alternative but have the shower in a somewhat cold atmosphere with the risk of catching a cold that the stated conditions entailed. Besides, the shower in the bathroom concerned is very uncomfortable. The only one is that of the bath-tub.

I booked a hotel night which I had to cancel due to coronavirus, and despite my request and circumstances, the hotel management did not want to refund me.
