It's not every day you can sleep in an authentic castle!
When in addition to the warm welcome, impeccable service, excellent food and unfailing comfort, we can say that this establishment reaches a very high level.
I'll definitely go back.

This castle, built in the 1500’s, has been converted into a beautiful boutique hotel. No elevators meant a nice “hike” up to our second floor room. There were 59 stairs winding up in one of the turrets. We loved our stay here.

Absolutely amazing. We are here for 3 nights. I want to stay forever.

Unfortunately, we only spent one night in this hotel imbued with this castle atmosphere. The hosts are warm and put you at ease.
Our comfortable and spacious room was steeped in clean history and comfortable bedding. We do not fail to come back for a longer stay so we can enjoy the magic park. Uujj.

Very nice setting, the rooms are spacious and the meals excellent.

The employees are fantastic and very nice.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
But the room was small and sombre. Near the dining room there is a very intense smell of cheese. (Too much).
The building is spectacular and the meeting rooms too. I wouldn't give it 4 stars.

What a shame! Such a stunning and romantic courtyard to have dinner. If only the food was equally as good. The chef has nice menu ideas but it lacks herbs and spices, even salt and pepper. For this it is much too expensive.

Very friendly haven, carried with passion by a very dedicated team. Ideally located for a very comfortable getaway to Rennes the Castle. High-level restaurant but hardly overpriced (price). Don't hesitate!

Very nice place where you feel like time is stopping. Very accommodating hosts and a warm welcome. The evening dinner is a real treat for the taste buds in a beautiful setting. A moment of happiness and well-being!

Magical place. A change of scenery in this cathar castle. I'm going back soon with friends to introduce them to this region and this site.

This hotel gets a 5 star rating because of the atmosphere, the food & service from the staff. Yes the placing of the TV in the room isn’t ideal (we never used the TV) but how often do you stay in a castle.

Super cool castle stay and great escape in a quiet town. Riverside location is peaceful and we enjoyed the nice clean pool along side of it. Nothing to complain about, just beware they don't serve lunch or have air condition.

Fantastic surroundings and atmosphere in old castle with super food and pleasant friendly knowledgeable service. Not cheap, but a great experience for a celebratory night out. M & S from Scotland.

If everything on offer, from rooms to meals, are up to the task of such a place, the little extra is the constant concern to listen to its guests.
And the surroundings, from Carcassonne, its city, its ramparts and its citadel, to the Cathar castles and dungeons, all in a grandiose nature.
A must-see if you're in the area.

Just returned from a stay in this beautiful Chateau. The welcome we received was outstanding. Nothing was to much trouble and the food was divine. We love coming here as its so relaxing sitting in the garden with the river burbling away in the background or sunning by the lovely pool. We received excellent service from all the staff and are already looking forward to our next visit. English is spoken here which is always a bonus as our French is ok but not brilliant though we do try!

We had a short stay in may 2015 and have been seduced by this place that we did not know. A real atmosphere of chatelaine, a place filled with history, unn warm welcome. When dining out, we have also been seduced. In short we highly recommend it!

Really nice. Magnificent site. Sleep in a castle for once in your life is an experience.

Certainly a fab place to impress some guests in the beautiful ambiance of the authentic chateau. After being there the second time for an evening I have to say that the food does not match the expected quality and if you're vegetarian then better avoid the restaurant. They don't consider vegetarian food as appropriate or simply don't have the means to give it some consideration. There is not one dish neither as starter or main course on the menu, so you end up with the 'salade de cruditees' and maybe an 'omelette avec garniture de legumes' which turned out looking like an in between of a frittata and a pancake with some mushrooms on the top (after the waiter wrote down without mushrooms) and a tiny ring of chopped courgettes (you would not mind if it would taste nice). The first time I was there I got an asparagus risotto which had at least some taste. The hope that the cheese board would make it up was not justified as it came prepared with 4 pieces of cheese which you would rate as 1. Excellent, 2. Good, 3. Ok, 4. Not mature to be served. The 'amuse geule' was a beetroot mousse, which tasted nice but was so sweet that it missed the point of being an appetizer…
On the other hand the selection of wines is brilliant and the chosen white and red wines (in the range of Euros 30-40) were excellent.
Of course I am not their average guest and I will never be, as there are places not far where you get double the quality for half the price.

Beautiful place! The courtyard of the castle in which you can eat by beautiful Temp is really amazing. Menu at 30 euros without wine min. Watch out for the price of drinks, it offers them before even to have the card hands :-)
So far the service is also excellent.
In short it is not cheap if you add drinks, but it's worth. (I :) ).

Dining escape!
The service and the food are quite at the level of the tariff applied!
Very very disappointing. Prefer eating in a nice restaurant in Limoux.
