NOUBAR

Thank you, Bernard and Noubar, for the most exquisite meal for my family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I especially appreciated the accommodation you made for my vegetarian diet (I had a marvelous eggplant ravioli first course and a delicious, complex cauliflower main course while the others enjoyed rabbit and veal shank. ) Wonderful Cahor wines, fairy tale atmosphere in an old manor with a crackling fire. (And very reasonably priced for the caliber of cooking. )
I had the good fortune to also spend two nights there, with a very comfortable room overlooking the picturesque grounds, and thus got to sample Noubar’s world-famous croissants for breakfast.

We were dinner guests, not staying. Bernard and Noubar are perfect hosts — a candle-lit dinner par excellence. A lifetime gastronomic experience to remember. And we loved Gaston the German Shepherd!

Six of us enjoyed a private 5-course dinner celebrating my wife’s birthday served within this French Manor’s formal dining room alongside its massive old-world fireplace.
We experienced Chef Noubar’s created menu served on a white draped candlelit table displaying settings of fine china and silverware. The menu began with a magical Mediterranean Tuna Tartare appetizer that lead to a wood-fire roasted main course of Quercy lamb served with estate-grown herbs and vegetables. This elegant dinner finished with fine selected cheeses and the most delicious birthday candle adorned desert imagined.
The evening was filled with Bernard’s charm as he graciously met every expectation and was a shear master in the selection of wines.
The hardest part of the evening was having to say bye to our new two amazing friends!

A wonderful experience where we felt treated like family in this beautiful home. We had a unique, intimate and superb meal. It was just our group of 8 so it was extremely special and perfectly curated for us with some dietary challenges. Everything was beyond fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious! The value for the price was also amazing!

We were fortunate enough to hear about Noubar and were able to book a dining experience there while staying nearby. Bernard and Noubar welcomed us into their home and our group of 6 were treated to what might easily be the best meal of our lives! From the first glass of wine, through the carefully selected 4 course dinner & dessert, everything was spectacular. Bernard and Noubar are gracious hosts and to say that Noubar is a wonderful chef is an understatement. I hope that I have the chance to visit again and would HIGHLY recommend booking a meal or stay there! Thank you so much for the memories that will stay with each of us!

Two fabulous dinners, thank you Bernard and Noubar!
Staying at a nearby village and hearing about Noubar's wonderful food, we arranged for dinner there. Perfect caramelized eggplant mezzaluna, grilled lamb, tempura artichokes, cheeses, and a dessert that combined crunchy, smooth, sweet and cold. It was all so great, with Noubar and Bernard's warm hospitality and lovely wines, that we returned for dinner 2 nights later. Even better.

Had an excellent dinner at Noubar. Both the chef and the maître d’ were incredibly warm and welcoming. We tested the waters a bit by bringing our one year old, and they were gracious to allow it (it may be our last nice dinner with him for a while as he is getting squirmy…. ).
From the amuse-bouche to dessert, everything was fabulous. My favorite, though, was the lamb. Crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.
Should we return to this area (with a nanny), we will absolutely be back. This is a must-visit if you’re nearby!

So many great things have been mentioned that we don't need to repeat ourselves. We knew we would be well taken care of during our stay but walked out of it with even more. Apart from the croissants, the delicious dinner, and the elegance and comfort of the room, we had spent 2 great evenings hanging out with Bernard and Noubar with engaging conversations! Thank you for making our stay so memorable! We hope to cross path again one day!
