My wife and I hosted our wedding at the Gîte Pagel, and it’s was simply amazing!
The space is gorgeous, we had about 30 guests that stayed the entire weekend, and everyone just loved it! The different apartments are very nice and cosy, it offered everyone enough intimacy for the weekend, but also everyone could easily join common areas during party time.
We hosted the party and reception by the pool, which made it so unique and fun!
We had the ceremony taking place in the fields down the property, it was like doing the ceremony in the middle of the woods, simply beautiful!
The space is extremely well equipped for kids, with multiple playgrounds and play spaces in every apartment! This is just perfect when you have multiples families with young kids!
Finally, the owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was going well! They’ve been amazing and so nice to work with in every aspect of the preparation, installation and operation of the wedding.

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) stayed for a week in August in the Lower Sunset gite. From the moment we arrived, hosts Geraldine and Cyril were available to show us round and explain what was on offer for our stay.
The children loved the toys in our gite, colouring books, cuddly toys and more. The gite itself was well equipped with kids cutlery, plates, high chairs, toilet steps etc enabling light packing for our journey.
The facilities including pool, playgrounds, boules, play barn, trampoline, sandpit were fantastic and the extensive grounds allowed the children freedom to explore safely and parents to relax. With other English and French families staying our older children quickly became friends with others and were entertained and we could relax whilst supervising the youngest in the sandpit or play barn with a cold drink.
We used the kids club 3 times for our younger two and Sarah was fun and friendly providing crafts, water based activities and snacks/lollies which was worth the extra money so we could spend some quality time with our eldest and each other.
The honesty bar for ice creams, drinks etc was a lovely addition, as was the baguette and pastry delivery if required.
We also had the group BBQ night (excellent food and sociable evening), pizza night and sausage and chips night.
This combination of self catering and some catered nights was perfect to keep costs down and give us a break from cooking.
