Definitely worth visiting if you are in Paris and have a spare day or two after covering everything central Paris has to offer. The village is reachable by train under 30 minutes, and can be fully explored in a day if you can walk with a decent pace. Be mindful that the metro station doesn’t have escalators (none that I could spot anyway) and it is a 3 storey climb to exit into the village, so one has to be mobile enough. Also the village is elevated and a lot many stairs are there to reach to major view points. Apart from the church and vantage point, the village is home to Dalida place, Le refuge cafe, Montmartre museum, gardens, Lapin Agile cabarets, La Maison Rose restaurant and many more. My recommendation is to walk around the village via Rue Lamarck and not concentrate all your energies only at the Sacre Cœur — enjoy the scenery and authentic village experience!
