Le Patio & Spa Hotel

A place furnished in a characteristic way by the owner, really nice and welcoming person. Very convenient to visit the center of Saumur and the castle.

This hotel treated us very badly — they have a strange limit to check in by 8pm with no confirmation/communication of this via email and then if you arrive late (even for reasons out of your control), no contingency plan or communication so that you can access the hotel. My parents drove down 10 hours from Calais, they were held up in traffic and suffered severe delays and therefore only arrived at 10.30pm. I tried to call the hotel but no response. My father is 73 so after this long journey to find that there was nobody to provide access or help was a really awful, stressful experience for them as they had to try to find somewhere to stay last minute. They then proceeded to charge us £90! It may be a nice hotel inside but the service and communication for us was a bad experience.

Nice little moment in a place filled with charm and calm. We're very quick to get to this place. The rooms are spotless and decorated with great taste. We were greeted by the owners of extreme kindness who are full of attentions.

Superb guest house! In our journey to the "Loire by bike" in 2013, we stopped at the "Patio" to Saumur along the Loire, in the month of July for a night, the price is very reasonable (85€, including breakfast), a very good welcome at our arrival, the bicycles are parked in the patio. We had the room "Loire", which is beautiful and very large with view on the Loire, and a superb bathroom. The breakfast is ok with very good coffee, bread, and croissants. The Château of Saumur is located near this guest house. I highly recommend this place of character in Saumur. Our hostess was welcoming and very friendly.

Stay at the Saumur & Spa Patio for a romantic weekend. We had a very good stay. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The room we had was very quiet and comfortable. Very good value for money also. In short, a good address to visit Saumur and the surrounding area. To recommend!

A big thank you to Roman and his wife for their hospitality, their generosity, their very good advice, very kind… We had a great stay of 4 days and 3 nights in this place full of charm where it feels like home but with services worthy of a star-rated hotel. Many thanks and see you soon

Wow! A delightful find, the decor is tranquil whilst exciting the imagination with its many quirks. Warm welcome with a relax atmosphere… wish we were staying longer.

Nice hostel, the owner give themselves a lot of trouble. The rooms on the street are noisy in the morning.

Superb. Charming, comfortable, excellent service. Easy parking close by. Minutes walking to centre ville. Amazing croissants! DO book the massage!

Very beautiful place where we enjoyed the location and the quiet of the PATIO. Roman is very nice, warm and good advice. Room to relax in order to take advantage of Saumur and its surroundings.

Same comments as Damien. I really loved the place, the continental breakfast is served in a beautiful room "bistro" bathed in Sun, perfect before visiting some areas.

Nothing to say, the home is at the top and the House has a crazy pill, all at few metres from the Castle and for a justified price. Bravo!
