Beautiful hotel in this very picturesque village. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Absolutely exquisite food!

Lovely location and beautiful buildings and surrounds, we only had drinks here so cannot comment on the accomadation.

We booked at the restaurant on Wednesday 29/08/18 evening for two people. We had a gastronomy box of the great chefs (value 150). The meal we were served was not up to the delivery ordered. Forget of amuse bouche, the starter corresponded to a tuna bread that I make at home, followed by a beef bavette (simple steak seized on both sides) presented with two cherry tomatoes and three pieces of potato cut probably in the same. Cheese and dessert of the most classic. We are more in the menu good brewery than on gastronomic.
It was sad that the staff admitted that other clients had made the same ineffective remarks from management.

Looks over the town square, at night all the tourist for the abbey have gone home and the town is deserted. Great to walk arround the old town in the cool of the evening Accommodation is fine. The evening meal was some of the best food we had on our trip. Swimming pool small and a bit chemically. But in a small green garden, good for chilling out.

My husband organized my birthday in this beautiful place. The room was beautiful with neat décor, refined and impeccable cleanliness. Dinner was exquisite with a small staff. Thank you very much. I highly recommend this beautiful place.

A lovely hotel and very convenient to the Abbey. Dinner was fantastic and breakfast was also quite good. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is modern. They have well-appointed rooms and we enjoyed a pleasant stay.

Basic hotel. Room was upstairs and had a very bad smell emanating from the bathroom. Very stuffy and hot. Breakfast basic.

I was just back from Nantes or I slept in a Logis de France hotel located in the heart of the city which apparently is very well rated … but I was extremely disappointed … When booking I was not informed that I will stay in an apartment … GggRrr. I slept in the kitchen with the sound of the suction of the ventilation (VMC) not very nice, on my arrival more toilet paper (I had to go back to the reception of the hotel which was 200 meters) of the apartment … in the evening while taking my shower I noticed the presence of many blonde hair … I have light brown hair with a clear cut (2mm on the head) and at breakfast the pastry not well cooked … Almost raw in the middle …
In short I highly recommend the hotel of La Croix Blanche de Fontevraud-l'Abbaye.

As part of a Smartbox "Châteaux and gastronomy" box, we made a one-night stay with dinner and breakfast at the Hostellerie de la Croix blanche in Fontevraud-l'Abbaye (49).
This establishment dating from the 16th century is beautiful both outside and inside and especially very quiet.
We were accommodated in a spacious and very clean "confort" double room as well as the bathroom.
The staff of the reception and the restaurant is very welcoming, smiling, available and responds to our requests.
The dinner "3 course menu" included in this box was perfect, the tasty cuisine and the presentation of the perfect plates.
We enjoyed the breakfast served in "buffet" composed of various products and can satisfy tourists of various nationalities.
We highly recommend this property.

There are 25 minutes of minimum waiting to serve us a drink. The tables rooms I chose the cleanest ' my order 2 Apérol sprite not very complicated for me that I am not a bartender ' and here I put a lot of ice to fill the glass well. And voila €10. Serviçe deplorable.

Sir I want to answer your remarks but I will remain courteous and do not actually use the network visible at all. On the other hand I do not allow you to talk about the society in which I work, since I came privately.
Whatever it is you may find me demanding but precisely because when we happen to have a problem with a customer we do everything to satisfy him then and without waiting.
I still say that you were absent from the counter since you already had a problem to settle with another disgruntled customer. All the guests that day were dissatisfied while waiting to settle at the front desk, and your wife invisible when we left. Otherwise of course I would have told you about it but we also had the road to make no time to wait. I would have enjoyed a small discount for breakfast without having to ask. The managers of the Hotel Beau Certe, obviously do not have the capacity at the level of the staff and the services expected by the clients to manage. The Breakfast at €14 is excessively expensive considering the price of the rooms, and the organization of this day did not give the image they want to provide. At the Petit Déjeuver, no more coffee at 9:30 more croissants no biscuits, an incomplete buffet on the other hand the price is full. We were forced to claim to young servers who did not look in their "plates" Personally I did not ask for a discount when we left, since the bosses were not visible while several customers complained, the slightest Things is to be present and start a discussion. The person at the reception was so embarrassed that we did not ask for anything for her sake. Worse soundproofing.
We also understood that not all customers had the same rates? Incomprehensible.
In short a We like this and knowing that the hotel is full, the organization did not follow. The menu at €29 by cons good.
It would also be wise to report the direction of the parking when we arrive on the square we are lost. So we parked somewhere else.

A beautiful weekend of charm in love in this establishment that has offered us a real parenthesis of happiness! Warm and friendly personalized welcome by Mrs Chabenat and her team and her visiting tips! Beautiful room of the Abbey quiet and spacious! Two dinners at the restaurant Plantagenet for which we again dedicate our thanks and congratulations to the whole team: the chef for his tasty dishes that enchanted our palaces from aperitif to dessert! Special Mention to the chocolate dome that lets the wedding of the flavors burst under the hot chocolate casting! I will not forget the foie gras or the sea casserole bellows, in short two dinners at the corner of the transcended by a impeccable and professional service whose mention for the young Elijah who at 19 years already has a maturity and a sense of service and relational that he Promise a beautiful future if you judge its qualities of sommelier with a flawless for the choice of our 3 wines for both dinners! Very nice place, friendly but professional. The restaurant is close to perfect for the level and the personal is always attentive to any request. However, try to avoid second floor rooms a bit noisy.

This hotel was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were amazed at the service we received. Their restaurant is superb. We enjoyed dinner there twice and well as breakfast every morning. The hotel and restaurant staff were all so kind and courteous and helpful. And being a few steps away from the Abbey made this an ideal central location to spend our 3 1/2 days in the Loire River area. Chinon is 20 minutes away. Tours is about 45 minutes away.

We had a late check in, the counter offered friendly and warm regards! Great place to stay, it make you feel away from all noise and chaos.

As usual your reception was efficient and friendly. Our room was excellent and a nice touch was that a fan had been put in the room as the weather was so hot. We had two very nice evening meals.

Stayed here as part of an Inntravel walking tour. Hotel staff are very friendly. Room and bathroom are nice. Being in a 17th century building there is no lift. The weather in late May hit 90, so it was warm without air conditioning. Just open the window and turn on the fan. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and dinner in the restaurant was good.

A lovely hotel in a great location. The restaurant was very good and there are other places to eat nearby for variety. The staff were always helpful and we would stay again if we go back to that area.

I believe of Plantagenet of fontevraud and I must say that I was enchanted by the setting, the service and especially the meal.
I will return with friends, to discover this place.

A warm and very friendly, you feel surrounded by professionals for all questions and support. The room is beautiful, clean, tidy, comfortable. The bathroom seems new, practical and spacious.
We asked the Manager if it was possible by increasing the price of the menu, to create a menu card white on the occasion of an anniversary, while keeping the surprise of this menu.
He agreed and it was a great success, gourmet, tidy, very thin, and a taste map a real wonder.
The staff room you will receive a friendly welcome and you follow the trail, nothing is forgotten and we were very caring, awesome!
I would absolutely recommend this hotel La Croix Blanche and the associated Restaurant "Plantagenêt". You will not regret it!

Unexpected high-quality dinner/dining experience in the middle of a deeply historic, but otherwise fairly sleepy village around the Fontevraud Abbey. Service was great; food was very good. Would have liked to have seem more fish/vegetarian options, but the chef/owner was flexible on all fronts.
