Remarkable place, especially the rooms that are built into the rock. The view to the river is fantastic. The dinner at the restaurant was an incredible culinary experience — highly recommended!

Excellent Service, very good food and a beautiful view! The price will inevitably be with this quality and do not have a precise budget because the card does not display the prices except for the complete menu. But the kitchen is largely at the height of the price!

This was a surprise on the occasion of my engagement in June 2015… I have some great memories, both at the level of the dinner, the room, the professionalism, attentive and very warm welcome from the staff… that sense of service is really rare… The food was delicious, the room very pleasant… Weekend engagement memorable. Want to come back, of course! Has recommend without hesitation.

We went to High Rock to celebrate our anniversary couple, this restaurant is class, the food is of very good quality, perfect service, very good experience that we will repeat it.

The plates are real paintings, the taste buds sparkling, the attentive staff, warm and with a little hint of humor! Welcoming décor (to the toilet…) and warm and friendly atmosphere! A real moment of happiness and escape! We are regulars and we never leave! I highly recommend it!

One of the best hotels in the entire Loire region. A star restaurant in the house. The luxury rooms are TLW in the rock. Outstanding breakfast prepared according to personal wishes.

A dream place, a memorable experience. I'll come back for sure and recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Fabulous troglodyte hotel — the first of it's type and still the best.

Taking advantage of a "Relais Château" gift box, our choice was made on this property ideally located on the banks of the Loire, close to Tours and castles. Arriving late after 9pm, the staff accepted us to dine in their restaurant. A real delight, especially not customary of this kind of gastronomic table. I guess the staff realized that but their welcome was at the top. Then, we had probably enjoyed their smaller room (at 225 euros anyway) but the troglodyte frame has its effect. Giant bed and with good bedding. A view of the Loire and the swimming pool. Bathroom and separate toilet. Only small downside is that these pieces of water have been refreshed but keeps track of the old decoration. But it doesn't matter: we only spent one night and not in these rooms! Finishing the stay with an exquisite and complete breakfast (we refused the "salty" so much that there were… too much! ). At 21 euros and on a terrace overlooking the river, I take it right away!
Little extra thing: the staff is adorable and the little hello of the chef cook with a frank smile (commercial? I also like) makes us happy who would not have the opportunity to relive it from the very near future.

Very refined kitchen and terrace with view over the Loire. Ideal for a night out in head to head. Attention reservation in advance because strong attendance.

Pleasant Hotel, but surprisingly noisy with lots of loud background noises in the hotel late at night. Rooms are spacious and have nice views. Clean bathrooms with separate shower and bath. Ample size pool too, which was a welcome surprise. If you're going to stay there and not more central such as Tours or Amboise then rent a car. Taxis are abhorrently expensive.

Really enjoyed dinner looking out onto the Loire. Room in the cave was pretty cool and great location for visiting Marc bredif wine caves and château Moncontour.

We recommend the stay because the quality of service is not up to what is expected of this range of the school.

We stayed in the Deluxe cave with view on the Loire

-the room with beautiful volumes

-Extremely loud view on Loire gives especially on a national road
-Establishing no has no Park where walk and no stroll is possible immediate outside because the hotel is located between a cliff and the banks of the Loire undeveloped
-The room is so dark that it cannot even read a book
-Bath and toilet is cheap and of another age: plastic handles, bidet, ashtray in the toilet!
-The classic gift of welcome at the entrance of the room consists of 2 cups on a tray and inviting us to consume a Vouvray paying in a mini bar without juice or cocktail nibble.

-We had dinner in the back room without the room manager accepts to place ourselves in the main room while several tables were still free and others arrived after we have been installed. Explanation of an employee of the establishment: "the dining room Manager privileges the regulars. " Nice to be treated this way when we drove 3 hours and took the most expensive hotel room.

The framework and the cave rooms are the real plus of Hotel Relais & Chateaux. Unfortunately we n were not able to test the gourmet restaurant because this one is closed on Sunday and Monday.
