Great hotel very well located in the intramural of Saint Malo
Personal at the top.

Beautiful view is sublime and the staff and at the top.

Sublime establishment, beautifully maintained in idyllic setting.
It's a must when you want to live in Saint Malo.

Hotel very well placed, very nice room and bedding at the top, on the other hand small downside the shower is full of mold and no ventilation, a pity for a 3 star hotel.

Beautiful place, well located. Too bad the waiter on the terrace is unpleasant.
Fortunately the beautiful does better past this service, not acceptable for our seaside resort.

Very nice hotel in a majestic building. The lobby and breakfast room are beautiful. We had a room for 3 with sea views just above the ramparts and we were not disappointed: cleanliness, comfort, space, large Italian shower for a reasonable price. Friendly staff to close the whole thing and justify the note and recommendation.

Beautiful property in charming St Malo. Rooms are furnished in style but lack small details that make all the difference such as a bottle of well-received water rather than a small fridge bar. Sore note also for cleaning: hair in the shower : (and dust on the nightstand…

Good welcome at first, then 40 minutes to take the order while filled to (up/) 40%
Order errors, with child meal and wine for adults forgotten.
The mussels, half not open. In open ones, half burn/recuit.
If allergic/intolerant gluten and lactose one waiter will tell you no worries the other: "you can eat oysters and a vegetarian salad"
Even if at the end of the meal, the owner offers us the bottle expected more than an hour, it is not enough not to be sick when arriving at the car.
In short, very bad experience.

Not all rooms are huge and some are even a little small for three people. But the bathrooms were very well redone, the hotel is wonderfully placed and the staff lovely. And then there is breakfast, served in the magnificent lounge of the brewery and on the adjoining terrace, which is a very big moment.

The brewery is also very pleasant and serves delicious dishes.

A very nice evening of funny waiters, not perfect, but perfection is tiresome. We will definitely stay there again. (Appetizer cakes to accompany our bottle would have made in my eyes a perfect place)

I put 4 stars but I could have put only 3 because I am disappointed. A few months ago the hotel's breakfast buffet was accessible to hotel guests and simple visitors like me which allowed to eat a great breakfast. Alas, on my last visit, the breakfast for the visitors was different from the hotel buffet. So be clear, this breakfast for visitors has no interest. So it's a very big disappointment. Especially since the setting of the hotel is very nice. I put 4 stars because I hope this hotel will recapture itself and put back its breakfast buffet accessible to all.

The rooms are clean however the 3 star rating is not justified. No mini bar, no clock, no reception that picks up at night… The rooms would be worth a fee.
The location is central and it is indeed its only asset…
The value for money is not on the go.

To avoid: Very disappointed by the room. The sea view is splendid but you only have that. Paint paper more than Defraichi, to redo. Small shower room not very clean. In short the room is worth 2 stars and again. The hotel benefits from the prestige of the places and the beauty of the building but in hotel qualities none even the bedding is bad. Way too expensive for what it is. Finally the beautiful is the decoration of the common places entered. Dining room.

A lovely old building but features of service just slightly off the mark. Eg. Not telling us that there would be a large number of coach tourists all having breakfast at 7am.

Warm and hushed atmosphere is immediately at ease. Varied and very concurencielle map to its neighbors. Impeccable service. 5 stars!

Nice hotel, Gave me 15 euro enclosed parking spot in nearby garage. Breakfast is 12 euro.

It was early February, the service was fantastic! Starter fruit du mer, good, main was slow cooked "sous vide" lamb, not bad, but served with uninspiring berlotti bean "reheat" from what tasted like it was from a tin! Cheese was a good selection, but served chilled, which for me is very poor.

Attended as part of a conference. They have good meeting rooms and break food. I stayed in a sister hotel round the corner so no idea on bedrooms.

Too bad that you have to plug the radiator when arriving in the room, we should anticipate the arrival of the customers…

Food here was sublime. The restaurant was very well looked after and the steak was juicy and soft, utter perfection. Price was good too.

Accommodation great, warm comfortable room for us, good bit of luxury. Breakfast not as good as I remembered it from 2014 never the less a great deal. Hotel a great choice in the French port town of Saint Malo on the edge of the intramura by the sea. Staff friendly and professional.

Had a meeting and dinner here. Love ambiance. Scrumptious fruit de mer. Friendly staff. Why only 3 stars? It was never more than 4 stars but in a dinner, how can one forget to serve a complete main course to one of the guests (even the hints were not picked up)? Unforgiveable.

Charming hotel in the best location in Saint malo (the only left from pre-war Era). Great dining zones, and a true 19 century charm. Only the room size was a bit tight and the amenities (shower gel etc) a little light.

Nice place to eat old favourite food not expensive at all same price of next door restaurants.

Great location. Terrible recommendation of places to eat aka tourists traps. Shower is awful the water doesn't drain so it flooded the bathroom. They provided great parking location right next to their hotel at a price (€15 per day).

Excellent location, nice hotel, but no Wi-Fi in our 'prestige' room and no safe either. Staff somewhat unhelpful.

Hotel very nice, we have been very well received, the room is spacious the bed is comfortable, we had a breakfast excellent and the must of the must it is its location! Limit the feet in the water with a splendid view at the inside of the walls! Go there without hesitation.

Hotel located in the heart of the city walls of St Malo and its shops and restaurants. Very warm welcome and information on the activities of the city, good plans.
The room was very nice and clean with a view of the sea.

Disappointed in the room? Room to modernize. We thought a few days in a bright, pleasant room! Too bad for our anniversary specified during our reservation… No place to look for the city of Saint Malo!

Very nice hotel in Saint Malo intramural. We chose the sea view. Gorgeous but room a bit small.
For the negatives not some channels on TV (M6! France 3! Let's not at the hotel to watch TV but good at €120 night. ) And worse for those who live with their time, we took the Wi — Fi codes but on the third floor and well. Classic we got nothing. They should explain to them a day at the hotel as it takes a transmitter on each floor!
Fortunately above the ramparts 3 G Bouygues of my wife going really good :)
Otherwise great breakfast very good and once again welcome!
We'll be back.

My Parents who are elderly went on a great 5 day trip with Barnes Coaches from the UK to France Brittany. The final destination was Hôtel France et Chateaubriand in St Malo (in the old city). On arrival the evening Meal and service was a disaster and the service was on the verge of Bulling. The group was not allowed to sit in the restaurant area and were steered to the back of the building to have their meal on trestle tables in a room. Some who had sit on the earlier tables (no direction from staff wrong location) were shouted at to move in to the room, had to swap glasses used for new glasses on the table etc. The abuse went on and comments on bulling were mentioned. Wrong food served to persons one older gentleman who was vegetarian was serve meat and felt intimidated to complain etc. Most were in 60s 70s or 80s and some had physical difficulties in mobility etc. They were extremely upset at the treatment, and felt the hotel just did not want them there? My parents asked me to send this message on the web sites to warn groups and other individuals about the potential treatment, The morning staff at breakfast were 100% better — well done them. Barnes Coach staff and driver were great and received the feedback about the hotel — Barnes Coach company conducted themselves very well.
