Very nice very nice property ideally placed and conducive to the discovery of the high city and departure of the circuit of the ramparts. Friendliness and welcome from the owners very appreciable value for money ok.

Our room was great and felt like a nice mixture of antique and modern. The staff was friendly and the location in the upper town was close to everything! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go once we parked in the free parking a couple of blocks from the hotel.

This family hotel suites in the middle of the old town. Very friendly service. The rooms are comfy but a bit aged. The breakfast nice for France.

Do not take into account the previous opinion… There is a display in the road warning motorists that there is a market in the Street outside the hotel Saturday morning and therefore a no-parking during the duration of the contract. But it's also display at the reception of the hotel. As well as in the elevator. And it is written in the booklet. It was even announced on Friday evening. It's d "even more surprising that he managed to get his car because there is free parking at 200 m hotel (while in front of the hotel it's a blue box of 20 minutes so why would you stay Park there? ).
Otherwise great welcome from the owners, breakfast (Crescent + fresh bread and jam House + fruit + cereal + coffee + chocolate + the + yogurt +++…), rooms at the third last winter, comfortable bed and the more! The bathtub :)
If you do not have a heavy sleeper like me, ask for a room on the back of the hotel to not hear the belfry.

Thanks the hotel Balzac we have warned that the parking in front of the hotel was not admitted on Saturday morning because of the market. One night € 170 in impound and fine, I'll remember! In discussions with the police to pick up our car, we have learned that these events were frequent! Despite the warnings from the police to the hotel manager, it seems that it does not take into account this detail. Commercial technique unscrupulous to gain extra nights or real friggin' John? I highly recommend this hotel, take attention Saturday morning if however you go.

Nice hotel with charm in downtown Fougères. Castle, Bell Tower and gardens are reachable feet. Friendly owner and staff.

Well kept room. One star less for the lot too soft. Another one for the Bell that rings every hour.

We had the favorite hotel, full of charm and warm décor, extra staff listening and attentive. Located in the heart of the city centre with the market at the foot of the hotel on Saturday, the sound of the church bells that resonate gently in our room, not to mention the breakfast for food lovers, we were able to go several times and we have never been disappointed.
