A very beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting, high up in peace with lots of charms.
Our nights are in absolute calm, the rooms quite large and well arranged, the room service is perfect, a pity that with the covid we do not have access to everything.

Superb hotel in a former convent, renovated with taste! The staff is really very friendly. The restaurant bistronomique is very good, the food superb, with the view of the garden from the cloister. I recommend this place which is very nice!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff was incredible nice and helpful, the hotel is beautiful, and the room were super nice and clean! We greatly enjoyed the courtyard and the swimming pool. We came with our 6 months old baby and the hotel was very accommodating, even provided us a baby bed (although he mostly slept with us as the bed was big and super comfy)! You can get a really nice view from the city up there and there are some landmarks around to visit. All in all, the location is pretty good and quiet. A bit of a hike but totally worth it. I highly recommend!

Great weekend in love. The staff are very polite, courteous and attentive. Upon arrival we are delighted to learn of our upgrade. The spa is very nice, my wife was captivated by the quality of the Californian massage and the professionalism of the speaker, passionate about her profession.
The dinner spent at the restaurant the phones were delicious, the waiters/servers are their own reason to go back.
The breakfast was also like the rest, generous and error-free. I had a crush on hot chocolate
Looking forward to staying there again.

Quality service and beautiful dining place at the top.

Lovely service at the reception and at the bar, not so impressed with the restaurant. The building itself is fantastic. Nice pool but hardly any sun beds. Exoensive but worth it. The petit dejune was incredible. The dinner — not.

Nice hotel, the rooms are very small which is something common in France. The hotel is in the outskirts of Lyon, but there is a cable car nearby if you do not want to hassle with the car. The food in the restaurant is very good but pricy.

Decent hotel well situated. Good value for money.

A retreat in Lyon. Quiet property, lots of space to relax. Enjoy Old Town by day or evening and come back to this gem to escape the hustle. Rooms are a decent size compared to else where in Lyon. Second floor, back of building recommended for good views of Lyon.

Beautiful setting and building. Good reception and good food at night. Good breakfast Pleasant experience than to bathe in winter, do a few fathoms before going to the table. We were lucky to be in the sauna almost alone but I guess it can saturate in high times. The rooms are very nice, we were in the attic, a small complaint about the smell of the sheets very clean but that smell a bit of the hospital. I loved the lobby!

Frame and magnificent building. Good welcome and good food in the evening. Good hearty breakfast and unlimited. Experience friendly that to swim in winter, swim before going to dinner. We have had the chance to be in the sauna almost single-but I imagine that this may saturate during high. Four star behind basilique fourviere and lugdunum.

We loved our stay. Only negative point for the price of the room to be a limit damn door to 12h battery while it is in the low season as there are a person to be harassed by the front desk and the woman of the household to quickly get out this is not cool…

The "table" of the Fourvière basilica Hotel, either for breakfast or dinner is just… divine! Our city is capital of gastronomy and the Fourvière Hotel makes it great honor. In addition, the cells are very comfortable and quiet. The staff is very caring, very professional. What a pleasure in staying at one of these walls out of time, and exceptional, even when we are lyon (e). Thank you thank you.

A unique hotel experience! An atypical place that has been renovated with great taste. Ideally located on the top of the Roman amphitheatres, Fourvière Hôtel Lyon reinvents the former convent of the visitation built in 1854. The restaurant is excellent and the staff as competent as discreet!

Great experience. One star less for the Spa, the small room in the suite which it is not stipulated that these are 2 small beds but a bed per 160 and for the breakfast whose buffet is very complete but will be perfect with a Cook offering eggs, omelet, etc. And lack of meat other than pork for people not consuming. Small flat also on the bar on which the tapas plates are no longer consumable at the time when the restaurant opens doors which by the way is extremely expensive! Apart from that, great hotel, great view!

Everything was perfect! The staff were very friendly. Not to mention the room very comfortable, beautiful decor of sobriety and harmony. We bathed at night in the heated outdoor pool, magic moment. Thanks to the management for welcoming us with the champagne for our anniversary!

On a first look it very good place. But I don't like bugs, so for me it was little to much.

An entry breathtaking, followed by a surprising décor… The room was decorated in a simple but class. However, a criticism to make about equipment : no coffee maker and kettle… But the silence and the comfort of the bedding are very good
Breakfast of great quality, hearty even if it is the promiscuity with the other customers is not very nice.

Stayed at this beautiful Hotel. Unfortunately it was really hot in the room. Asked at the reception and two different members of the staff came to our room to tried to fix the air conditioning. It wouldn’t work and according to them, the entire Hotel was sold out so they couldn’t move us to another room. They were both really nice about it and tried to fix it. After a very long and sleepless night (we couldn’t open the small window), the next morning we went to the reception area and when I mentioned to the girl at the reception about the temperature in the room she told us the air conditioning wasn’t working because it was October and normally it was cold outside so therefore there was no need for cold air in the room.
So there you have it… if your room has been exposed to the sun during the day, chances are you will be hot at night. (Room 222)

Sublime location, however the restaurant is too expensive for report to the quality. We find ourselves quickly with a note worthy of a head goose. But the place remains pleasant and the staff smiling.

Amazing hotel built on old convent with character preserved. Beautifully designed and furnished with great taste. Grand views of Lyon. Near to vieux Lyon. Great English speaking staff.

Hugely disappointing. We were made to wait until 4pm to check in and in spite of paying for a late check out we were hurried from our room before midday the next day, with reception saying it was the best they could do. Rooms are very modest and are more akin to a 2 or 3 star hotel, mini bar with only a bottle of water, no bathtub, no sports facilities. In short, this is not a 4 star hotel and you can stay in a number of hotels in Lyon that are better located, less expensive/pretentious and of higher quality. 2 stars instead of 1 because of the swimming pool. Everything else pretty dismal.

Horrible service and horrible rooms (hospital rooms are more welcoming and better looking). We booked a night for our honeymoon weekend, and told the hotel. They fit the flowers and the champagne and didn't even apologise. We didn't stay there. Although we couldn't get a refund, we left and went to another hotel in Lyon : "La cour des Loges". I would definitely not rebond this place!

Luxury, calm and voluptuousness.
A historical place saved, elegant or reign tranquillity, sense of service, welcome, smile, sober rooms, impeccable hygiene,. Great bedding. Meals: Fresh, noble, fine and refined dishes. Small breakfast varied salty as sweet, with quality products. Prefer the room of the canuts (under the canopy) for breakfast however. 1 tea wedding or palate of teas or Kusmi or Cannon would be the icing on the cake;). It's decided I stay two more days.

A very nice place with the taste of the day. A charming and welcoming staff. The breakfast is rich and varied with full of organic products. The hotel's restaurant offers delicious dishes and desserts.

4 stars for the absolutely amazing setting, the friendliness of the staff, and the spa. Very nice hotel Bar, perfect rooms. On the other hand, flee the restaurant … just outrageous! Micro dishes — ondés, insipid … if you could put a negative note, that would be the case! One of the worst restaurants in my life … and the tables next door ditto … no, unworthy of this beautiful place … Anyway, come for the hotel and go eat somewhere else!

Modern with the charm of the old stone. Very nice hotel, the rooms are a little small but comfortable, nice and very clean. The bedding is very good.

Hated our experience here I'm afraid, it's an amazing building and one that we were most looking forward to on our driving holiday through France into Italy. Whilst the building may be great the rooms are awful in design, completely soulless with none of the four star touches that should be present (and what is charged for), there is nothing about this hotel that encourages you to to stay and have a drink at the bar or bite to eat etc, completely atmosphere free, as example the car park was almost full when we stayed indicating that the hotel would be busy yet we barely saw another guest. It's a gorgeous building which has been sympathetically restored but sadly is missing many key elements to make you feel welcome or that you are having an enjoyable stay. Even the staff, although polite, seemed to be missing a certain element to their service and overall came across as inexperienced hoteliers, lacking knowledge of the city the are in. I'm really sad as wanted so much to give this a good review, the most positive things I can say are that is good for photographic opportunities, serves nice white wine (if you can find anyone to serve you) and is in a great and interesting location. Overall this is probably most described as a confused corporate type hotel which I'm not sure it's actually aiming to be!
