I write this as a parent of 2 children so bear that in mind. We were able to get connecting rooms so the kids could be close. This meant our room was disabled access and so was below par for a 5 star hotel. By this I mean the shower was on top of the toilet and there was only one hook to hang two towels. The doors of the interconnected rooms open into each other so one cannot enter the room if the rooms are connected. This does not seem to be good design IMHO. The breakfast room is very beautiful with sweeping views of Lyon but the food is mediocre. Room service is only available at lunch and after 7pm so getting dinner for children is hard. This didn't meet my expectations of room service in a 5star hotel. The food was average though I'm sure the three domes restaurant (Michelin starred) is better this was not achievable with my progeny. Overall it is an average experience for a parent.
