We ate the delicious galletta and had a cup of tasty hot wine! Staff really friendly! We visited the medieval village on Christmas day.

Very atuthentic and old Restaurant. You can try the local delicacies. But not many veggie options.

Very helpful and good staff. They assisted with things far beyond their needs. Very smooth and comfortable stay. Location is perfect on a long distance destination.

Booked this because it is a storybook-looking hotel and it lived up to the biling. We were in a separate midieval building than the restaurant, about 75 meters away from the square which was fine. Our room was huge, ancient and creaky, but comfortable and fun with a spectacular view over the countryside through paned windows with inside wooden shutters to block the morning light. The meal at the restaurant was REALLY good too. Highly recommend eating there.

We were there for dinner as every other restaurant was closed 😁 the atmosphere is really noble and the service was impeccable. Just for me as a vegetarian it wasn’t really a good experience when it comes to the food choices. There was not a single vegetarian option on the menu. When I asked the waiter he answered me that they could prepare me a salad or a vegetarian omelette. I decided to go for the salad but I was quite disappointed as the salad was rather small and there wasn’t even enough dressing on it so that it was quite a “dry” experience. It came along with 2 slices of baguette so in the end it was really more of a starter. What made me quite unhappy though was that all the others received some potato gratin on top to their orders except me — I guess because the salad is classified as starter and the others chose a main course. Still I couldn’t really understand it as the waiters must have realized that I didn’t have much of a choice so they could’ve come to the conclusion that it would’ve been a nice gesture to serve me some potato gratin as well. In the end I paid quite a lot for some salad leafs and some vegetables.

I stayed here one night with my wife in April 2024. Even though I was aware that the bedrooms are located in a medieval building, it still came as a surprise that the heating in the bedroom was totally inadequate. The huge iron radiators were permanently on, albeit they were "tepid" on the inflow and very "cold" on the outflow, with any heat being lost into a very draughty room which did not get warm at all. My request at reception fell on deaf ears as nothing was done to remedy the problem. It was 5 deg C outside and not a lot warmer inside. It would have been better to put them on full blast for a couple of hours in the morning and the same in the evening but low temp all day just wastes money 'for everybody'. Particularly when you are paying 187 euros for room only. No breakfast. This type of period environment is fine when its 20 deg C outside but not when it's winter conditions. We left 'very early' the next morning without breakfast and enjoyed the warmth of the car… The cracks and mould in the bathroom was reminiscent of a 2 star hotel not one that charges the prices as shown above. Dinner in the restaurant was fine and enjoyable.

What a great hotel in a beautiful little town. It was like staying in a film set! We could only imagine all the history and people that had lived there or passed through. It’s very authentic and impeccably run by Laurence (GM) and her team. It’s been a family business for many years and they could not do enough for us, all with a smile. Very very good. We will tell all of our friends 😊

Had to write a review because I think this restaurant deserves a far higher rating than it currently has. The ambiance is so charming and authentic, the perfect place to go while visiting this medieval village, making you feel that you've stepped back in time. The service was impeccable, warm and generous. The food was perfect. Our second time here and will be back again.

Fantastic location and a wonderful hotel. The room we stayed in was lovely, comfortable bed and a first class bathroom The private parking was welcome and easily accessible.
But…
On arrival we were not informed about the availability of Wi-Fi and there was no mention of it in the sketchy info pack in the room.
The main hotel building was only open for breakfast, so without a courtesy tray in the room we couldn't even get a glass of water.
Breakfast was terrible value for money.
Apart from it being very quiet overnight which afforded a good night's sleep I would not bother staying there again.
Overall, terrible value for money. And it's not cheap.
