Excellent hotel! We usually stay in a catered chalet but decided on a hotel this time as it was a special birthday for me & I wasn’t sure how much skiing I’d do being pregnant. Great decision! Very little more that we could want for in this hotel… — perfect location in centre of town, with ski in/out direct to locker room (boot heaters in lockers).
— room with slope view was idillic.
— very friendly and helpful staff. …
— excellent food (we stayed half board).
— clean & spacious room, with plenty of storage space.
— plenty of power points in the room.
— supplied with a range of lovely toiletries in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion) — needn’t have taken my own!
— pool facilities very very clean. The only things I’d change… but these are being really picky and give a balanced review: — provide a privacy net as well as the blackout curtain (would be useful it wanting daylight but needing to get changed during the day, especially as it’s not a private balcony).
— steam room was out of order (unsure whether this was very temporary or not). Would be lovely to have a hot tub / jacuzzi as well as sauna/steam room/pool.

Wonderful hotel, all the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were clean and kept with a rustic/hut in the forest feel. Closest hotel to the slopes that we could see and central to all shops and restaurants. Would recommend this hotel and would love to come back one day! Thank you Hotel Le Val Thorens! :)

Let's make it simple, first of all regarding the hotel in general and its architecture, this is left to abandon, it would be time to take care of it, moreover concerning the service, it would be time to hire qualified staff and not students first Year of BTS Hotelry, not to mention the fact that the staff is far too familiar with the guests, I will not talk about the 20 minutes of daily waits every morning to get a coffee.
While in the other restaurant "fondue" Everything is perfect, go find out why.
To finish the whole thing, after receiving a fish too salty the chef dared to say that my palate was not suitable for its preparation.
The only thing that saves the hotel is its location, in sum a 3 star, little more.

The staff are brilliant. However the hotel is a bit dark and cramped. The location however makes up for this with ski out the door and views of the slopes from the rooms. The swimming pool is also a great place to hang out after ski.

Very nice establishment only flat for a 4 star restaurant to review except for fondue or raclette they are top and breakfasts the staff is in panic at rush hour and no Canal + while in modest hotel Ibis there Canal +

Excellent ski in and ski out location. Nice heated lockers can fit all of our gear. Staff has been very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are a little small, but not uncommon for ski resorts. Overall, very positive experience.

The location of the hotel is perfect at the foot of the slopes and near the restaurants:) The hotel is exactly as described on their site, the staff very professional and friendly… The hotel has a wonderful spa… really everything was at the top.

It's a very good hotel with great staff and warm hospitality. All our requests were quickly answered in a very satisfying manner. The breakfast is very good and also the SPA. Although, the lighting in the room was totaly insufficient.

We booked the services and when we arrived they told us that it was full. Really bad organization. No solution was found.

I’m actually currently staying in this hotel and so far I really enjoy it. The service is amazing and very friendly. I found all of the staff really kind and accommodating. The rooms are nice and clean and spacious. The showers have good pressure and great hot water. Beds are comfortable. Everything is as pictured. Also the toiletries are amazing, they currently carry Le Labo which is a great brand and makes quality products, with unique fragrances. Spa is nice for relaxing after a day of skiing. As is lounge! The ski room is easy and convenient and they lockers have heating systems for your ski boots. The breakfast was full and big, with many options. The biggest problem for me so far has been the internet, as it is very weak and shuts on and off every few minutes which makes it difficult to work on my laptop or on my phone. The pool is also slightly too cold. Overall great experience.

Very overpriced hotel for what we got!

Pricy and not so good service, lot of young unexperimented people at the bar and restaurant and at reception people seem to be lost (has to remagnetized our access card 2 Times for both our rooms), no late checkout… You can get better in Val Thorens at this Price.

The staff is at the top, smiling, friendly, outgoing. The deco of the hotel is to die for, and the rooms are gorgeous with a breathtaking view. In short, nothing wrong, we had a great stay, I would highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel does not deserve (or more) its 4 stars. Its beautiful interior architecture, does not compensate for a somewhat burnt-out décor. The decoration of the restaurant is disappointing and looks more like a nice canteen than a restaurant of a 4-star hotel.
Furthermore, the balconies are not private (no separation), the tiny bathroom and the elevator breaks down half the week.
That said the staff is very friendly and courteous.
In summary, the value for money is poor.

Renovated hotel, visited it in 2016 and 2015. Rooms are small but comfortable with everything you need. Street rooms are too noisy when sleeping with the window open. Personnel is excellent, but on some occasions they are under staffed. Food in the restaurant is good, but has changed since 2015 when it was excellent. The Fondue restaurant was excellent in both 2015 and 2016. Sauna, steam-bad and pool are OK too.

A lovely hotel that is not overpriced. Staff are pretty friendly for France…

The best impression. Good riding, delicious cuisine, nightlife. On the slopes just loving life.

The only good thing is the location. Awfully small rooms without any taste and just plain boring.
