Very happy experience there. There was a strike on the railway the day I was supposed to check in, I was worried about very late check in so called the hotel. The staff assured me that he would be waiting no matter how late it was. When my wife and I finally arrived it already past 0am, the receptionist was there waiting and accompanied us to the room. Through our stay, each staff we met has done everything they could to make use feel at home. The hotel was well-located at the lower edge of St. Emilion, it's very close to the town centre and tourist information centre. Since the town is quite small, everything is within walking distance. There're lots of nice restaurants in town but in case you fancy something cheaper, the staff would be happy to recommend Pizzeria du Vieux Lavoir, a little restaurant serving quite good pizza and wine. The hotel sits on top of the hill and the view from the parking area across the street is quite impressive. Our room is on the back of the building facing a small vineyard and a larger one in the distance. It really is a room with a view always reminding us we were staying in the vineyard. The last day I asked the receptionist if he could book us a taxi for the train station, which was less than 2km away but requires quite a bit of walking on unpaved ground dragging our luggages.

Pretty basic hotel. Very clean and in the heart of the village. Small rooms so don't spend much time in them. The price reflex what you get in this amazing village.
