Camping Les Sables d'Argent Campground

Once again and for the 5th time wonderful stay on the waterfront. I recommend this campground for all its quiet, its cleanliness a swimming pool on the top, all at the portê really not doubt you would not be disappointed

I recommend this campsite. For a vacation quiet and relaxing next to the ocean and all the nature around us c is beautiful and the managers are geniaux.

Great location, very near the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. The cafe served us food when out of hours for cooking. Excellent.

Very nice campsite. The beach next to the campsite is very convenient when you have trouble walking.

The perfect holiday place.

Upon arrival we are greeted pleasantly by the staff, we are shown our location. We arrive on this one and there we find that there is a large wooden board (2X2M) right in the middle of the site. Impossible for us to install our tent.
In addition, our location was very small for a tent (2 people) + 1 car, in full sun, in the wind and with a huge opposite with the Mobil-home located just behind us.
After waiting an hour for an employee to take off this famous board, we finally tried to mount our tent. Indeed, we were 3 to ride it, there was so much wind that the hoops of the tent were close to breaking, the sardines withdrew 1 to 1 and after 1 H of Calvers we gave up.
Then the camping staff tells us that there is no other free location, so the only solution is to be reimbursed. We don't even worry about where we're going to sleep at night, the goal was simply to get rid of us.
How to start a worse vacation?
Finally, the pool is worthy of a swimming pool from that of an individual, it does not allow to accommodate the population of a campsite. 2 out of 3 toilets were open, the last one was closed and fell into ruins.
I strongly advise against this campsite, although the staff are friendly and fortunately elsewhere.

Very nice location A number of caravans offer an amazing view of the ocean with a premium sunset on its terrace. Attention others are less favored and present only the view of the neighbor, very close. Heated swimming pool and close to the centre of Soulac. Excellent location compared to the competition.

Great weekend with friends. The view of the ocean is really appreciable. The campsite is nice. The pool already open in May, allows to cool down with the high temperatures.

I know the place since 1980 and have to see unfortunately, how he's changed negative. Almost nothing is left of the high dunes and the pine trees, there are hardly any plots but only chalets and mobile homes to the rent. And they have become prohibitively expensive.
The location and the beach are very good, but I rent a cheap cottage me now two kilometres further South.

Exceptional location. Direct access to the beach from the campsite. Camping at lots of charm on part its varied locations and its greenery.
I recommend it to all those who want a quiet and comfortable place.

Great location on the beach, directly behind the no longer existing dunes. Pitches for caravans are ok, if to Sandy, the groundskeeper with tractor helps. The sanitary facilities (notably block 3) are completely inadequate (only 3 sinks for dishes only 5 showers, toilets not always clean and very closely, are the 2 cold outdoor showers, the foot sinks and laundry facilities for washing ersazlos deleted). The magnification of the place shall be borne by the caravan camper, the mobile homes are built very close to each other for profit reasons. You could forgo the animation program also, the swimming pool is good for those who do not cope with the Atlantic waves. It is true with the and occasionally dangerous currents. We came here on the recommendations at Zoover on the Sable d' Argent, after we wanted to again make holiday after long years in Soulac. Unfortunately we can not understand here the recommendations: the place is completely crowded in the high season and it was tight, as well as the pitches, with caravans a cramp. Since we were travelling with several families, we had rented even a mobile home (super-mercure), unfortunately completely overpriced for the spartan facilities and the lack of State of cleanliness. Sanitary facilities: permanent queues, little washing machines, cleanliness in the washrooms is deficient. Of this much-vaunted location directly on the sea: bathing in the place is very dangerous because of the currents. Therefore, during our stay, there was a fatal accident. Since the fun at the beach passes a thoroughly. The staff, although friendly, but distant and cannot be found if necessary. Conclusion: Not recommended.

We were for the umpteenth time at Les Sables and it whatever we liked. Neat clean conditioning, good and friendly service, bike rental, the animation could be improved, but you really need that? Mostly to get rid the children in between times! The initial photo shows what you all for fixing the dune has undertaken and one can only hope that keeps better this time than in previous years.
