Au Soleil, Hôtel Restaurant & Spa

Yes, the hotel has its own large car park, which guests appreciate very much. It is described as convenient and easily accessible, with dedicated parking spaces also provided for restaurant patrons.

The hotel staff is described as very friendly, professional, welcoming, and attentive. Guests note the warm reception even during late check-ins, and in some instances, the hotel provides complimentary room upgrades on its own initiative. The team, including the owners, creates a hospitable atmosphere, although one guest mentioned that the hostess occasionally seemed reluctant to smile.

The hotel offers a buffet breakfast that many guests describe as generous, varied, and of high quality. However, opinions are mixed: one visitor found the selection limited, noting an absence of muesli, a restricted choice of fruit, and the use of commercial pastries. Overall, the vast majority of reviews rate the breakfast positively.

The restaurant serves traditional Alsatian cuisine featuring local seasonal produce such as asparagus and game. Guests praise the sophistication of the dishes, particularly highlighting the chocolate soufflé, beef fillet with mushrooms, and cordon bleu. A half-board option is available and generally well-received, although one guest found the half-board dinners to be mediocre. The well-curated wine list is also commended. Mentioned drawbacks include long wait times for food during peak hours and disappointment with the quality of the sautéed potatoes and kidneys in one review.

The rooms are described as modern, spacious, clean, and cozy, especially in the renovated wing of the hotel. However, some guests noted a lack of basic room amenities, such as complimentary bottled water, kettles, glasses, or coffee machines. In certain rooms, issues were reported regarding shower water pressure, squeaky beds, or excessively soft mattresses. It was also mentioned that rooms without a balcony may feel somewhat small.

Air conditioning is installed in higher-category rooms. One guest noted that the unit operated very loudly, causing some discomfort during their stay.

The majority of guests describe the cleanliness as immaculate and highly praise the housekeeping team. Nonetheless, there are isolated remarks regarding cobwebs in certain spots, stains on bed linen, and insufficient hygiene in the spa relaxation area (mildew in the relaxation room and peeling ceiling paint by the pool).

The hotel features a wellness area with a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and hammam. Many guests are delighted with this space, calling it wonderful and relaxing. However, please note that spa access often incurs an extra charge (around €20 per person), which some guests only discovered upon check-in. There were also occasional comments regarding the pool water temperature not being warm enough (around 30°C).

Yes, the hotel is pet-friendly, and guests confirm that bringing small dogs is permitted.
