When you have guests, you should be flexible if there are any issues. The gentleman, whose name I still don´t know ignored this. The shed where bicycles are stored doesn't have a power outlet for charging. I can't remove my battery. I was supposed to leave my bike outside the house all night to charge it. He said he had never had a bike stolen. How hospitable is that? Outrageous! I have an expensive e-bike and needed it to continue my journey to Strasbourg the next morning. Later in my room, I had to ask for the Wi-Fi password and how the TV works. I paid €78 for a room that had a dirty window and a dirty TV screen. Furthermore, it was not possible to take a proper shower in the open shower because the drain was not working properly. There was a small flood in the bathroom. I didn't shower in the morning. At breakfast, the gentleman pointed out to me that butter is cut differently in France. Also outrageous! When I wanted to leave the house in the morning, he came to me with the bill. I did not experience any hospitality or friendliness during my 14-hour stay. The small host family from Germany was a delight the next morning at breakfast. On the day of my arrival I asked for confirmation by email that I was expected in the evening. This was not done. Days before, I received an email from the host saying that a booking was possible which I then made.
