Comfortable Camping a Few Meters from Nuuksio. Nuuksio Hostel and Camping is managed by the owner, Kai. Before we settled in, he first introduced all the activities and amenities that we can use during our stay. The activities are so many that we didn't feel the need to hike the day we arrived. We grilled outdoor and indoor, tried fishing (and suceeded), learned Finnish darts (with Kai), played some board and card games. We stayed in the family tent with sleeping bags, which are very comfortable to sleep in. Additional bed was available, which doubled as place to put our stuff. There are also 2 equipped and clean camping style toilets, outdoor shower. But normal bathroom with sauna is offered too :) We are also surprised that Kai also offers porridge and toast for breakfast for free. This is not the 17 euro add on. Overall, this has been the best hostel we've been. Kai is a wonderful host, very welcoming, entertaining, he even taught us how to clean the fish we caught! He also oriented us on the trails we should take for Nuuksio hike (when he offers you the big map, get it! It's very useful). We also want to shout out to Kai's right hand, Marko, who taught us how to make a successful fire! PS. We went here via public transport. The hostel is easy to find from Espoo Center.
