We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay in an aurora suite right next to the frozen lake which was amazing. The staff are friendly and really helpful. The food was great. The setting is gorgeous. I’d go back tomorrow!

A fantastic resort that gets everything just right. It’s very easy for some resorts to get forget the simple things, and Apukka doesn’t forget anything. From arranging a surprise birthday decoration to having snowsuits in our sizes and even boots, then letting us keep them for the duration of our stay, everything has been brilliant. A special mention also to this running the snowmobile, reindeer and husky events. It’s clear there is a great setup between the resort and these private family’s, and everyone works hard to Make sure perfect memories are made.

Great comfortable glass cabin with great good luck, the Northern lights! I would come again any time.

Restaurant closed, breakfast is complimentary but only from 9am-10am. Jacuzzi & sauna 50e for an hour and by reservation only. Concierge only open 9-7pm (7pm is relative, we went to ask a question at 6 and they had closed early. ) We left around 8, came back at 2 and despite the room being practically empty room wasn't cleaned. We were told resort was empty, asked if we could move closer to the water and away from the street for a better view and was told no that we would have a better view of the sky at night. Nope, had a great view of cars driving by all night instead. The Aurora glass igloos are actually more spacious than I expected, but the photos made the surrounding area look so much prettier than it actually is. Very disappointed. Immediately wanted to go back to where we stayed the first night, Arctic Treehouse.

Really nice and family friendly resort in the Lapland. I was enjoying one day holiday here in April 2019 and delighted.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Apukka Resort. Every single person that worked there was kind, caring and always went above to ensure excellent service was demonstrated. We went dog sledding and had one of the best days of our entire lives. The guides were knowledgeable and easy to talk to, especially Mina! Our amazing northern lights guide. Our room was clean, warm and the complimentary hot chocolate was an added treat. We are recommending this highly to our family and friends over in the United States and will be back again!

We have just got back from 3 amazing nights at the Apukka Resort wow everything we wanted and more, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the guides very knowledgeable and the glass topped cabins an amazing way relax and our trip was made even more special by seeing the Northern Lights on two nights — what a truly amazing experience thanks team Apukka.

Thank you Appuka Resort, we spent a wonderful time here. For the first time our children saw real snow and enjoyed playing snow happily all day long. The Appuka cabin was so amazing… truly appreciate arranging us to stay in the same room at the second night. The food was delicious as well, highly recommend vegetable soup and french fries, try it and you won't regret! Although we didn't have chance to see north light in the end, we will always remember the friendly and enthusiastic hotel staffs.

Oh, what a wonderful place to have holiday in Finland! Apukka's staff was so kind and helpful during our stay… thank you! Saw the spectacular aurora borealis! And the original finnish sauna finally made our holiday!

We were pleasantly surprised and enchanted by our 2-night stay at Apukka. The first night, we stayed in one of their aurora cabins which was well worth the price. We were fortunate enough to see the northern lights during that night. Our second night was in one of their regular rooms, which is in the building of a former research facility (super cool! ). All of the rooms were clean and well attended to. Transport to and from various attractions was easy to arrange as well as coordinate with an infrequent but convenient bus stop nearby. We also partook in the reindeer farm activity arranged through reception upon arrival. Again well worth the cost, and what a cool experience! I would highly recommend Apukka to anyone looking for a great experience in Lapland.

Good place to see the Northen lights (aurora) located next to a lake.

I was at the resort with my wife spending our wedding anniversary. The staffs were very polite and very helpful. They cater all the guests needs very professionally.
They really put extra mile to make the guest stay very pleasantly. The room I stayed was very clean and all the kitchen accessories were there.
They even provide us with warm clothings during our activities there.
My sincere appreciation to all staffs. Thank you very much.

I went on the Aurora Adventure tour last night and had such a great time. I got picked up from a local hotel and met the rest of the group at the centre, which is very beautiful and has a magical feeling about it. They provide you warm clothing if you need it and also snow shoes to trek over the snow covered swamp to the snowmobile train. Our guide, Elina, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the northern lights and natural surrounding area. I learnt so much, and to top it off we saw the Aurora in all its glory, breathtaking and just amazing. In a forest clearing with no light pollution and a clear sky you could see so many stars, including the Big Dipper and the Milky Way! Afterwards we went back to the centre to get warm around a fire and cooked sausages to have with hot juice. The whole trip was more than I had hoped for, thank you Elina for making it so fantastic! Highly recommend to absolutely everyone! X.

Perfect stay! 5star service! Very helpful and friendly staff. Brand new location and aurora cabins. Not so crowded like other places. Close to Santa Claus! Will definitely come back…

A great journey with Apukka Resort team! Got a car pick up from Rovaniemi city centre and back, staff are caring and friendly to ensure us wearing sufficient warm clothes to wait for aurora. It was — 16 degree and it's hardly for us to stay outdoor long, luckily there was a well set-up fire and we can warm ourselves. We did see the aurora and the staff are helpful to help us setting up camera and taking pictures. Also we had a snow ride and played some activities on the snow. Our group size is small and the tour guide took care of us all the way. Would highly recommend people who would like to find a remote place for Aurora in Rovaniemi!

If I could give 9 Stars that would it be. I went there with my Family to say in and it was totally Perfect. Staffs are totally and completely Friendly and Professional. They have never ending smiles on their face and lots of helpful tips. Place is so nice and clean although you don't have your own bathroom. I highly recommend this place.
