Absolutely stunning, a not to be missed bucket-list experience.

This is our 4th visit to fiji in the last 5 years and we have stayed at the sofitel on denaru, vomo island, liku liku and now yasawa island resort. While the resort itself is starting to show its 28 years, the bures are very comfortable and spacious and the resort staff are very warm and welcoming. The highlight is the amazing food and location. Definitely try the tomato, basil and chilli soup and the fijian food night. The island is relatively large and provides lots of opportunities to explore and the hills are great for a workout if you are so inclined. We arrived on the seaplane and would recommend that over the boat as the flight was relatively smooth considering the weather. While some of little touches that make vomo special for us are not there we had a lovely time and would recommend the resort to our friends.

Lovely atmosphere around the resort. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming. The Bures are spacious and take the concept of "off the grid" to a lovely Island level. The private beaches, scenic vistas and crystal clear waters are a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

It's paradise nothing more, nothing less.

Amazing resort management. Our stay was cancelled due to the Fijian government offering Yasawa Island as a filming location. The communication from Resort management was sensational. 100% refund on our full stay and discount offer to return at a later date with sincere apologies. Considering the resort staff is largely made up of local villagers, this opportunity for the Village community is wonderful and I commend the owners for a very tough decision they made. Unless you’ve been there, you wouldn’t understand the connection they have with the villagers. That’s what makes Yasawa so much more amazing to the rest. We will definitely be visiting Yasawa Island another time.

WORST SERVICE! They are cancelled my honeymoon because they aren't professionals. Do not waste your time with this hotel. No tact to manage your honeymoon. Honestly they have ruined my trip. Please think carefully before hiring this hotel.

Dont waste your time. They have just cancelled out stay because they had a movie offer. Never will I ever recommend Yasawa island Resort. Worst service ever.

This resort is amazing, we stayed here for a week and enjoyed it so much. Everyone was so nice. The highlight was the organised excursion to the local village to visit the school. If you're planning to go here, I recommend bringing a skirt that covers your knees and educational things for the kids such as colouring books and pencils. Sunscreen, hat, a couple of swimming outfits, shorts and tshirts is also recommended. Another highlight is the picnic to the private beach. Be prepared and wear a light weight long sleeve shirt as well. There's also a wonderful excursion to the blue lagoon and bring some Fijian cash to buy things from the shell market. The food prepared by the resort staff is exceptional — presentation, flavour and ingredients are amazing. The chef uses local ingredients and creates a menu which is a fusion of Fijian cuisine and has a Western touch. There's always amazing desserts as well. Another great event they host is the Fijian night where they make a traditional Fijian meal with their underground oven and thr food is delicious. They include a lot of activities such as a cooking demonstration, kayaking, snorkelling and lots of sports such as volleyball and tennis. The snorkelling was another highlight because it was so beautiful. Everything about my holiday here was exceptional and I will do my best to return for another holiday here!

We stayed at Yasawa Island Resort for 8 days, and had our wedding there on the beach in front of our GORGEOUS bure on January 1, 2016. We simply cannot say enough great things about this resort, the owners, the staff, the people of the Bukama Village, and our minister from another village there on Yasawa. We did not want to leave and felt as if the people there were our friends when we left. We enjoyed snorkeling trips, a scuba trip, village excursions, and a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon while we were there. Each day there was a new excursion and the staff made it the best because they really share their culture and want visitors to know about their lifestyle and natural resources. The food could not have been better at the resort. Nor the excellent room service and over-the-top WEDDING they helped us plan. Our wedding was zero stress; they planned it ALL and we were wowed! We LOVE this resort and we will be back to visit one day soon. We highly recommend this resort! Russell and Holly Bliss.

Not sure what those other ratings are about, but consider the sources and lack of commentary. I can tell you that my husband and I stayed here for a week in October of 2014 for our 10th wedding anniversary and we cannot say enough about the wonderful time we had. The Yasawa Island Resort owners and staff somehow manage to make you feel like both royalty and family at the same time. The food was delicious, the accommodations lovely, the scenery is divine, and the Bavari Spa is bliss. We can't wait to come back for our 15th anniversary, and plan on making it two weeks next time!
