I would not even give 1 star to this hotel. It is a old hotel. Everything is falling apart. Beds have stains and the walls as well. Bathroom faucets leaking and had cockroaches in the room. I can’t believe people rent rooms from this hotel today. Thus hotel should be closed and upgraded or close permanently.

Well I am sure we hit the jackpot. We booked in for a month. We arrived early and our room was not ready so they let us rest in another room. That was so great. Staff cannot do enough for us. I know we are going to have fab time xxx.

Forgot to pick me up at the airport. Ignored my request for early check in, but fixed it after a while. During heavy rainfall the roof was leaking right above the workdesk. Lucky I didn't leave my laptop there. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was good but FJD27 became 29, 90 without information. I was told the shuttle would leave 06:15 in the morning but it was 06:00 hourly. They paid for taxi instead. Room for improvement.

Price is worth the stay, as it is clean and cozy.

Our 1st and only evening meal, there was four of us, three adults and one child. We ordered out meals at 6pm at around 7. Pm one out of the four meals were delivered to our table to an adult while the next person still waited a further 7 minutes for theirs then another 5 minutes and the last was delivered at 7.25pm bad staff service as they kept walking passed to a private function with nothing in there hands. During the meal my daughter asked me to smell the chicken she had been given. I didn't have to, I could smell it from across the table. I complained and the asked if she would like something else to eat. We said no but were given a complementary dessert of some sort. This too was in question. I would not recommend this resturant to anyone. The next morning the head chef appoligise to us he explains the he had not been there the evening before and that he had spoken the the chefs on duty about food safety. He also mentioned at this had never happened before and he had put measures in place for this not to happen again. We were given two complementary omelets for breakfast. I was please that the chef had taken ownership of the incident.

The rooms were ok: actually quite good for the price. Fijians are naturally friendly people, so it was a pleasant experience dealing with the staff… The problem started with towels. When I got to my room, there was not a single towel there. I dropped my bags and went out to the store. When I returned, I stopped at reception and told them this and requested some towels. I was told they would be brought to my room straight away. Half an hour later, I called reception and reminded them. Twenty minutes later I called and reminded them again. Half an hour later I called yet again and expressed my frustration at the long wait. A towel was them delivered to my room. The next morning, I used a slightly damp towel again… No problem. When I got back to my room a few hours later, the room had been serviced, but my towel had disappeared. At around seven in the evening, I planned on going out for dinner and catching a movie. I called for a towel. 45 minutes later I called again. I them decided not to go out as I hadn't been able to shower, so I had dinner at the hotel. I them went to reception to talk to the duty manager who had to be called away from watching a rugby game. I explained that I had been in the hotel less than 24 hours and he was my sixth or seventh attempt to get towels. He said wait a minute, then disappeared. He was gone perhaps 5 minutes, only to come back with a young lady in tow… he said she'll get towels for you.

One of the worst experiences I have with any hotel. I have stayed at tanoa skylodge so I know it to be a really nice quite and clean place. From the offset there was a mixup with reservations. I chose to have lunch at the restaurant while they sorted out the checkin issues but no one was bothered to give us the menu even after asking. That said, staff were not rude. They were nice infact. But just unbothered for some reason. I checking into the room, the room itself was not right and there were no towels. After asking 4 times in the span of 45 minutes the towels arrived. In the morning after breakfast when I was getting ready to have a shower I found out that the crew apparently had taken the towels they had given without replacing it. My only impression was "what the hell is going on in this place". Only disspointment this much because I know this place to be good.

Good view, but their room services are worse, no one was ready to attend with out money greedy.

Great service, good spacious family rooms. They're restaurant menu could be improved. However it is close to the airport and the city.

Got an upgrade! Friendly staff, generally neat and tidy place. Breakfast buffet was good too.

Clean and comfortable room and good shuttle to the airport. The staff were mainly helpful but after leaving a travel pillow in my room before checkout, I had to wait three months to have it returned after multiple phone calls and emails and offers to pay return cost. As it only cost FJ$20 to post and I sent AUD$50 to make sure it was sent back, one staff made a tidy profit!

Great place to go for live music as the band is too good.

Was a great place to stay for a short tym. Room was gud. Stafs were friendly bt one things was rily disappointing abt da breakfast. At first plc wen did reservation for da room I was bin told dat $130 per nite wil b included for breakfast. BT wen me n hubby wen for breakfast while having breakfast a staff cme in n started saying we r not supposed to have breakfast $130 was js for accommodation. Wel dan later on while I showed proves n toked to da Manger dan dat part was solved. N da weired thing is dz wen I ordered food. Da price was $18 for da stir fry chicken wid rice bt da lady charged us $20 on da counter n besides dat she sad why $20 coz we ordered food @ 9. N secondly she dint put da moni in da til. She js kept it in her hand holding it. N da lady in bar kept asking dat have we paid for da food o not. I gus it was dea pocket expense dat $20 dats why thy kept asking have we paid o not yet. Ada way round stay was gud. I rily liked da room. Only thing I wud like to say is dat gv write informations abt bookings of room n breakfast deals. Thnx.

Reasonable stay for a few nights, rooms ok, small bathroom but so what? … nice pool, food ok and cheap to stay… nice staff and grounds.

Room in ok condition but other services such as family booking include only breakfast for 3 n room bookings done for 2 adults n 4kids. Rm had only 2 cups and 2 towels. Overall need to improve on services… slightly over priced.

Great place for a quick stay. Close to airport. Reasonable prices.

Had dinner there, this was good. Priced right for Fiji. The live band sang well but was too near the tables so we had to shout our conversation.

Hotel to stay for if you are on a semi-professional trip, or want to stay near to amenities.

Loved our night at the Tanoa Skylodge Hotel. Friendly service from the time of arrival at reception. Rooms were clean and immaculate walking into an air conditioned room on a hot night made a huge difference. Highlight of our night hearing the awesome sound of the band from the restaurant. Spent the night listening to the soothing warm sounds of JohnNtheUpeople and sharing a few numbers with them. Vinaka Vaka Levu thank u for your wonderful service will be back to visit when next in Fiji.

Lovely bar staff and housekeeping staff were very friendly. The place itself is well maintained and comfortable for short stay. We had a lot of issues with room service, room was not serviced for two days — kept running out of towels, rubbish bin was full for several days (even after numerous calls/visits to reception) and also always running short of ingredients for their restaurant menu. Overall poor communication between the main reception and other departments within the hotel. Other than that enjoyed our stay for the 5 days we had booked.

Called before hand to advise them that I'll arrive earlier then expected. Got to the Skylodge and was advised my room wouldn't be ready for another hour. Got to my room and looked decent up until inspecting the bathroom, someone hadn't wiped after themselves and the toilet was disgusting. Spoke to reception and they assumed I had made the mess after checking in 2 mins prior. Bar staff both Ili's were amazing! Bar staff are amazing.

Very good Hotel at a very reasonable cost plus well layed over in a huge area.

Rooms generally lacked cleanliness, bathrooms in particular. The single rooms are particularly small and not nice. The cottages are more spacious but still outdated. The grounds are lush and green but the rooms need to be renovated. What I don't understand is why clean towels are not put in my room till 5 pm. The property has lots of potential but rooms need improvement. If rooms were nicer, I would be willing to pay more for my stay.

It is a wonderful place… simply a dream come true.
