The very heart of this resort is traditional Fiji in a bottle, amazing place set in such tranquility, From the gardens to the traditional Bure accommodation we loved every second. Ed, Jen all the amazing members of staff treated us both like family will be back again and again, if you want to have an experience of pure relaxation then this is the place for you, what you see in the photos is what you get, a wonderful break from life. Awesome secluded resort. Perfect for couples who wants to be spoilt. Staff/bosses are beautiful. Meeting the local children made my our stay even more adorable. Well recommended, if not on the menu ask for it. We will be back always. Go for it and enjoy your stay. And thank you all for giving us so much love, especially to Auntie Juddy. See you soon with more loving to spread.

This was exactly the escape from COVID that we needed! The hospitality was second to none, the food was exceptional, and that sunset 👌 we will be back for sure!

We just had our Renewal of Vows at Mango bay resort last Saturday and it was absolutely beautiful from the set up, food and all the staff I am so pleased with everything.

Hubby and I stayed at Mango Bay for a week and had the best time. The staff were so great, the friendliest people we have ever met. We loved our beachfront bungalow, hearing the ocean at night was so calming. I celebrated my birthday while we were there and the manager even organised a cake for me, it was so thoughtful. We will be back next year for sure.

Firstly for anyone wanting a 5 star resort Mango Bay is not for you, if you dont like bugs, rooms that arent perfectly spotless and being away from the tourist activities its definately not for you and quite frankly for the price do not expect it too be if you like to complain constantly and cant handle the fijian outdoors just stay at home like several over expecting reviewers should have!
So to the actual review my mother and I spent a week in a garden bure for her birthday and it was Amazing. Yes the rooms are rustic the water is tricky too get used too and no fridge however beds were super comfy and made daily. Citronella candles and bug spray is a must we lit a cironella candle every night and had no issues.
The pool is great as are its seating areas, the ocean views are just GORGEOUS and the snorkelling was lovely the activities directors will show you exactly where to snorkel find John he is brilliant, super helpful and very easy to get along with.
The real selling point are the staff they are the most amazing beautiful people that make you feel at home as soon as you arrive and make you want to stay come home time. Especially Tina, Johanna and the other bar/ wait staff and John the activity director absolutely brilliant friendly service that we will come back for ❤
The food was better than expected im a simple eater happy with a burger and chips while mum loves variety and we were both very happy.

It was ok. Nice restaurant. Really friendly service in the restaurant. Regarding recepction — there is a place for improvment. And the road condition to the resort… ehhh.
But location (views) are really good.

The resort is so beautiful the staff are amazing especially Marley Tom the chef Tina and other staff l would recommend for others to come and visit so quite peaceful amazing place to stay.

I was a bit wary about the resort after reading other reviews but this place is amazing. It’s not a 5 star resort but it doesn’t advertise or pretend to be. I’ve done a lot of Fiji trips and I would rather stay here than at a 5 star resort. I will say that the beach front bures should be your choice over the garden rooms. There are hammocks and day beds along the beach and the calm bay perfect for swimming. It’s quiet and peaceful and it’s small size means not too many guests. The food is mainly western, which is to be expected in Fiji but the Kokoda is delicious. There is security patrolling all through the night. You do need to remind the staff about restocking your room occasionally but that would be my only negative comment.

Such a great little getaway when you need that RnR Service is great and food is even better! Felt so relaxed and alittle sad when leaving! Definitely a place to try out if you’re around the Coral Coast.

The bartender does nice mix and the kitchen is one of the finest I have had so far. And the views are lovely.

My husband and I had a beautiful time at Mango Bay Resort Fiji! We ended up extending our stay due to the amazing food and staff! This place really is the true Fiji experience! Marley the activities specialist was an absolute pleasure and on his game so to speak! ❤️ will be returning for another stay in paradise at Mango Bay Resort Fiji sooner then later! Vinaka!

Excellent Location and service. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Affordable and loads of fun and free activties.

Bought a deal via Groupon. Groupon said I could cancel and receive refund if Mango Bay Resort confirm. Mango Bay Resort confirmed with me on the phone and then denied it in writing. Now I am being ripped off of $1729. Nothing but shady practises here.

Wonderful place! The staff and the manager are super friendly, the rooms are cosy and clean, the bar serves great cocktails. Very chilled place. The coral just in front of the resort is absolutely beautiful. I had a great time there, thanks Mango Bay! :)

My husband and I have just arrived home from Mango Bay & all we have done is talk about when we can go back. I’ve just spent some time reading some of these reviews & I’d like to agree to disagree with some of it. Yes some of the bures need work, BUT if I wanted perfect I would have paid ALOT more money & gone 5 star. We wanted a true Fiji experience & that’s what we got.
The food is fabulous, the staff is fabulous & we made some truly amazing friends.
Management have a truly difficult job & until you have been in a management position yourself you should never assume anything.
Ed & his ‘mate’, made our stay a truly wonderful one. Thank you Mango bay staff & management.

We loved it at Mango Bay. So laid back and staff were the friendliest and loveliest we encountered in all of Fiji especially Marley and Tina. Thanks so much. Such a great resort with beautiful views and loved the beachfront bures with outdoor bathrooms. It was everything we wanted and waking up to magnificent views. Suggest islands for snorkelling though. Food was also great although smaller serves for men but perfect for me! It looks just like the photos. Next time we would probably hire a car to check out further down coast. Waterfall tour was great too. Showed us local plants called twinkles and bubble plants. Thank you.

TERRIBLE RESORT A WASTE OF MONEY Do not go to this resort. The rooms are awful, a cardboard wall which doesn't go to the roof separates you from the toilet. They don't give you double beds, you get two singles terrible connected. The food is worse than my highschool's kitchen The managers will sit at the bar and watch you eat. The pool and beach are rubbish, barely any deckchairs, the beach is ugly and not kept well or even tended to at all. In the rooms: no mini fridge, no TV, no bedside tables, no chairs. The mosquito nets have holes in them and duck tape all over which weighs them down so they drape on your face. Me and my partner stayed there one night and left the very next morning at 6am for the Double Tree Hilton (an amazing resort! ) They ask for your cards security number when signing in? This place is a joke and I don't understand how it got any reciews above 1 star.

It is a great location with extremely friendly staff. The Bure's are comfortable amd well appointed. The food is good.

My friends were robbed in the bungalows at the frontbeach. Security is not enough, dark place and feel not secure at all in its facilities. Three robberies in one week. Stay away of this place and far from his manager Ed, a scotish ginger hear man who doesn’t know how to manage his own place and the big problem about security.

Mango bay really is the friendliest resort on the coral coast. The staff are great and its beautiful with lots of activities. Its very affordable. This is my 3rd time here and I love it. The new renovations and decorations are amazing! The food as always is perfect.

Peaceful resort by the seaside located away from the busy city. Nice for a getaway.

We went for a four day escape during the off season, the place in all honesty needs some work (a fridge in each room would be great) and would have drawn a 2 star except for the staff, they were superb. John (the activities manager) ; you deserve special mention, you made our stay exceptional, the bar staff who had only been there a couple of days you were spot on as well, my lovely girl has been to the normal denerau resorts a few times and loved the experience mango bay brought, we will be back.

This place is heaven on earth. Great staff, food that melts in ur mouth and location n roomz are spectacular. Will be back verry soon!

Quite and it's so beautiful getting up by the sound of sea.

I am giving Mango Bay 5 stars because, after a week there, we felt at home and upon leaving it, miss it dearly. If we ever go back to Fiji, we would definitely stay again. It is quiet and removed, far from the road and close to the beach. 2 hours from Nadi and 2 hours from Suva, equidistant from Sigatoka and Pacific Harbor. My wife and I are young and adventurous so we were looking for a place that would be friendly, personal and a more natural taste of Fiji. What such a small place might lack in food and service (both were quite satisfactory) it makes up for in its peace and friendliness. It is also small enough that we were able to make friends with all the other guests and would go snorkeling or on inland Island tours with them. I think the only negative experience we had (though I should hardly complain) was being there during Christmas. Christmas fell on a Monday which of course falls after Sunday. For both of those days, all the activities that one might do at the resort shut down because most of the staff took off. On one hand this is understandable because its Christmas but on the other hand, we were quiet disappointed that our plans of getting a group together and taking the boat for a trip in Beqa fell through. Christmas dinner was delicious but I for one, being quite active, sorely missed the opportunity. But all the other days were fun and after Christmas, the place began planning activities again.

Beautiful lanscape, fully equipped rooms, a variety of activities for tourists and the best solution if you want deep relaxation!

I really enjoyed the stay here… celebrated christmas with my wife n 2 kids… really nice… very quite n peaceful santuary… on the other hand the staffs at the reception mr. Wise … mili… livi… the activity guy the chef's all were very friendly n caring… must visit…

Amazing place for day trip. Great hospility…

Over the last 2 months this quiant Resort had gone through an amazing transformation with a new upgrade of its pool, kitchen, restaurant area and foreshore. You've just got to visit!

This hotel is one of a kind. There is a great mixture between natura and hotel facilities. The rooms are gathered through different Fijian Names and are spread across a regional forest. In front of Mango Bay there is a really nice, crystal clear beach where people can swim and there is the option if you head in the left part to see a long beach side full of shells, crabs in a volcano style beach. Mango Bay offers traditional Fijian food for lunch and dinner and they are organising local activities for the tourists, such as waterfall walks, horse riding, scuba diving, fishing by renting a boat and many more opportunities in a daily basis. This hotel is a hidden paradise, full of natural life and kind staff to serve you! I can recommend it enough!

The best holiday. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by the staff.
The food was brilliantly delicious from a menu that had new specials every setting, my favourite was the, Mango Bay Fish Salad,
All the guest were great joining in on pool competition, crab races & the all special sunset cruises.
The management was extremely helpful organizing day trips, dropping us off at pick up points at 5.30 in the morning making it easy for us.

Quiet, romantic place. Beach view room has outdoor showers. Hot water system is not perfect and food is expensive.

A bit more upscale than Beachouse but not quite as cool for your backpackers in my opinion. Maybe more family oriented! Great place, amazing sunset though.

It's a stunning place for relaxing eaither with your family or your love. Beautiful view to the ocean, a lot of activities (free) and other with an extra cost. Good food. Great value for price.

What a place to stay. Great escape from the world of work etc. Amazing views and sunsets to die for. The staff were super friendly and special thanks to Ed and Bill. I will be back as promised and bringing people with me. The island trip is worth every penny. If you want to experience more of the real Fiji you need to stay here. The beachfront bures are great and waking up each morning to the gentle lapping of the water and the waves breaking on the reef in the distance is peaceful and relaxing. Mango Bay, I'll be back!

Garden room is very basic: only bed with old blanket. Small beach.

Backpackers will love this place and for the mature the front bures are a must, all ongoing improvements are very very good will be back.
