Great experience at the Marriott Mena House. It’s the perfect place if you want to visit the pyramids of Giza. The staff is very nice and friendly. Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best in our Egypt trip with Pyramid view. The club lounge is lovely and the happy hour was very good, lots of options and the food was very tasty.

We had a lovely Christmas lunch at the 139 Pavillion. Food was delicious and well presented and the views were amazing. Thanks again.

It was my third time visiting Egypt but my first time staying at Marriott Mena and the place is absolutely breathtaking. I was treated with so much love and kindness! Love the room built to watch the World Cup 2022 and I had the joy to watch the first match my country Ecuador vs Qatar and Ecuador won — unforgettable game and day 💛💙❤️ This hotel was spectacular to have amazing photoshoot with the only Great Wonder still standing to end my healing solo trip to seven countries in 5 weeks ❤️

Top notch service and amenities. All three restaurants are superb but the history of Mena House and the view of the pyramids made our stay incredibly special.

The money provided by large weddings is more important the other guest and their comfort. Large wedding on the opposite side of the property. Music so loud it’s vibrating the photos on our walls. Hotels answer is “it’s done at 11pm” and a offer that we could pack all our stuff up and move. My family didn’t want to sleep tonight.

We had lunch at 139 Pavilion. It was absolutely stunning. The grounds are incredibly well manicured, with fountains, bridge, lovely outdoor seating and a phenomenal staff. The food was good, but the view was better. You can see the pyramids while you eat. It was a lovely visit and I’d recommend it 100 times over.

Even though it’s been 6 months since last visit the staff treat you like family.

Memorable, magical experience If you would like to get out of work pressure you have to go for a stay at Marriott Mena House, check in was really was a very personalized by Front desk "Habiba" she was so attentive and kind, Captain Tarek from the bell team he escorted us to the room and made the room orientation for us and also provided us with what we really need. Also when I asked him to drive me to the entrance and we had a chat about the heritage of Mena house he was a perfect storyteller, he took me to an old journey, you should ask for him and hear the story.
We enjoyed at the pool and really the service was amazing, also want to hilight that they are sanitizing the pool area (chairs) and everywhere in the hotel, I would like to thank samer from the pool bar he was very nice and smiley.
Don't miss to go to 139 restaurant at night to see the magical view overlooking on the pyramids and tasty food with really nice service, next day in the morning you have to wake up early to get your breakfast at 139 Restaurant with another magical view however it is the same but looks really different. Would like to thank Chef Hatem, Mohamed and Ms. Amal they are really attentive.

The level of precautions taken against Corona is very impressive.
Our rooms were very clean, the food was amazing, the view was breathtaking, and finally the hospitality from all of the staff is something we would never forget. I would like to specially thank Mr. Khaled Khalil from the restaurant for his efforts to make everything perfect. He is one of the nicest people I had ever dealt with. He even organized a free dessert in celebration of our friends’ anniversary. This was our first time there, but it definitely won’t be the last. ♥️

We had the most delightful late lunch at the Marriott and watch the sunset after a day at the Pryamids. It was perfect setting looking out at the Pyramids enjoying a great meal in fresh air with fantastic Egyptian service. It is a majestic oasis in Cairo metropolitan area. I'm a quite loyal Hilton member, but I would stay here if I were to return to Cairo.

There is no such a place on Earth as this Legendary Hotel. I have never expirienced such a service and kidness in the hotel itself as well as in both restaurants. Manager asking how do I feel, how was the food, Kitchen Cheef bringing ice creams (btw delicious food! ) for children and there are only some examples, extra room service in the evening, AMAZING view on Pyramides, very well Gym, grass, and smile smile and smile on each of single face of people in here… something unbelivable! GJ Mena! Keep on going.

All is amazing about this place except 1 major component that ruins the whole experience and you should be careful about it. Yes, this hotel has amazing views, it has a very cool pool, it has great food (try the Indian food), it has excellent service, very comfortable/clean rooms and it is very well priced. BUT transport, if arranged by the hotel is a rip-off: 2.6 times more expensive and with less comfortable cars than excellent limousine taxi companies. Why? Because the hotel takes the difference in comissions. PS: for 2 days of transport ended up paying more than my 2 nights at the hotel including dining).

Very good hotel and location. The main building is being refurbished so we weren't able to see the hotel. The rooms were a bit old and worn out. But everything was clean and nice. The restaurant is too good. One of the best restaurants iv seen in a hotel. The view is phenomenal… seeing the pyramids while having dinner and hearing live music… it can't get any better than that…

This maybe the best Marriott that I've ever stayed at. If you are looking to be close to the pyramids, I believe this is the closest. It is within the security gates of the entrance. The views are amazing and the entire hotel is up to date and has a very Egyptian feel throughout. The pool was one of my favorite parts of the trip. There were waiters to bring me bottles of champagne and I could baste under the sun and shade. The restaurant is open 24 hours (with great views) which was nice because my excursions were really early and since I'm from America I was jetlagged and body wasn't in sync with proper meal times. I can't wait to come back.

Wonderful views of the Giza pyramids from here! The breakfast buffet is wonderful with various options. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have hookahs for outdoor seating. The rooms are older but nice, clean and comfortable. Be sure to visit the store in the main building for souvenirs and jewelry.

I use to come in the mena house since many years but since Marriott hotel took over it became a disaster! Nothing to do with previous shape. We used to have a view from the pool on the pyramids… and it became crowdy and very popular egyptian standard full of smokes and poor management in the restaurant outside… it became a cheap place with no distinction of what we used to call the hotel movie.

We stopped here briefly as part of an all day tour of pyramids and Memphis. The intricate hand made decorations and finishes were impressive and the history of its construction and famous guests was interesting. We also exchanged money at the small bank branch inside and received very competitive rates.

Highly recommended super friendly all over there.

I'm in my room at the Mena House right. It's 10:00 PM and there is a wedding reception going on right now not far from our balcony. I can't call it music, the noise is so loud my heart inside my chest is thumping to this endless rap racket. If there was another hotel nearby I would leave gladly. The front desk is very unconcerned and says it''s just a celebration. It is indeed, but the hotel should not allow this noise pollution to infringe on the enjoyment of their other guests. Otherwise, the view is very good, We can see the Pyramids and the grounds are well kept. Interiors are somewhat careworn for the price. Stop the racket!

The location is superb I am writing this while sitting in the gardens staring out at the pyramids a few hundred metres away. Service is excellent and staff friendly and attentive. Strangely I could not locate a service directory in my room (nor could those I travelled with who were in other rooms). Happy to overlook the issue as the view and service is superb.

Amazing location with beautiful view, professional and friendly staff, good food but not with much varieties it was a well spent vacation there in a relaxing mood, the Wi-Fi is going slower within the change of the administration to the marriot. Overall it was a good experience and we are welling to come back again sooner.

A most fantastic location especially when you have pyramid view rooms. Lots of big public spaces, nice swimming pool, good breakfast. But to be a real 5* property this hotel needs thorough renovation, much more eye for details and trained staff. All of them do their best but this is not good enough to be considered a top class hotel, it should be perfect. But the worst thing is the weddings in the garden with loud, noisy music and base drums with vibrations felt in the rooms. This afternoon as from 4 pm till 6 pm and it is not over yet. Yesterday evening luckily the music stopped at 11h45 pm. We had not been informed about this before, nor was there a little note in the room to announce and apologize for this. Lots of work to be done in order to make this real luxury. To the hotel management : I am at your service to discuss’this. Dominique.

Excellent hotel. What a pleasure to have his breakfast contemplating the 5 thousands year old pyramids in one if the historical hotel of Cairo. How two areas would required improvements. The bathroom with an outdated shower in a bath tube with my head at 3 cm from the ceiling And the fix shower head at the level of my shoulders. Second point the offer in terms of choice of restaurant and bars needs to be improved. The quality is there but the choice is too limited. Only one boring bar in the lobby. Even if a piano player is doing his best this bar has no ambiance. We can expect this hotel newly managed and renamed Mariott to do the necessary to be an amazing place.

Mena house is a great place to visit if you want to enjoy sunset looking at the pyramids. The restaurant KhanelKhalili serves delicious egyptian cuisine and comes with pyramids as the backdrop. They also have a cafe outdoor serving international food and lite bites. The place itself is designed to resemble a palace. Great for stay if you are looking for a high end option and want a room with a view.

Excellent outdoor patio. The decor is subtly Arabic for a relaxed ambiance. Wished they put some lounge type Arabic music instead of classical music.

I visited the place right before they switched it from Oberoi to Marriott, never the less, the structure of the hotel itself is amazing. The architecture is beautiful and having the back drop of the pyramids in the garden is to die for. We attended a wedding, the service was great and the food was even better. One of the few hotels were I raved the food in a wedding.

One of the most romantic hotel in Cairo. Overlooking the majestic view of the great pyramids. Which is reflected in one of the pools of the hotel gardens. The hotel has two sections the Mena house which is the old part and more beautiful most of the rooms overlooks the pyramids. The other part in Mena gardens which is good too and more modern. The gardens are well kept. And there are restaurants in the gardens.

It is definitely the best hotel I went in my life as it was the palace of King Farouk. Amazing. X the less you have to go even if it is a night, it's a memorable experience!

One of my favorite hotels. You’re stepping into an oriental fairytale right next to the pyramids. We stayed twice in the modern building & loved the balcony with the pyramid view. The bar and the restaurants and just wandering through the halls of the old building is an amazing experience in itself. It’s an oasis in contrast to the busy dusty city. The service is great and the staff is truly caring and sweet.

This hotel is in a class of its own. I write this review while having breakfast on the hotel grounds at the foot of the Great Pyramid. The hotel has a fantastic old world feel that is a real treasure. Walking around the hotel is like visiting a museum. It feels like staying somewhere that is a labour of love and not for profit. If you are coming to Cairo there is nowhere else you can stay with such an experience. The hotel is not cheap but it is, emphatically, worth every penny.

The best hotel for seeing the Pyramids which are literally next door. The hotel is quite classy with good restaurants and facilities. Looks amazing and is a nice relaxing retreat from the noisy and busy streets. It also has an interesting history of its own as one of the oldest hotels there where many famous people have stayed. It has good security, however it's a bit awkward that sometimes when you're leaving, the security will stop you and make you wait for some random taxi driver or shop keeper even though you don't want to. Just a waste of time.

The most amazing views of Cairo/Giza can be found here. Located just next to the Giza pyramid complex you literally sleep next to 4500 year old history. The hotel itself is very upmarket and the service is just outright amazing for Egyptian standards. Restaurant and bar options are plentiful and an absolute delight (at least the ones I tried out). Staff is just outright amazing and it is obvious that they really love their job and are proud of hosting you! Make sure to ask for entrance tickets for the Khufu's pyramid at reception, since they can arrange those for you, so you do not have to queue in the early morning ticket-booth chaos. Show up towards the end of the time slot and you might enjoy to be on your own inside the pyramid. @Mena House Team and Management: Thank you very much for the amazing stay! Keep up the great work!

This hotel used to be one of the best and most prominent hotels in Egypt, but unfortunately it is not the same any more. It needs a lot of maintenance and renovation. Prices became madly expensive with a mediocre service.

The splendour that is unique. Among all the hotels and accentuated no doubt by the location, without detracting from the general areas of great amplitude, the diversity of restaurants and the quality of its rooms and staff, I personally proclaim it the best hotel in Cairo.

Best view in Cairo just under the Great Pyramids, great dinning options and the best place to host your wedding if you are thinking to host it in open air.

The stunning, unmatched setting with the unique views of the pyramids make this a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are quite dated with tatty flooring and old fashioned bathrooms. The new owners need to put a bit of money in to give this place the finish it deserves. Staff are first class!
